I think all the people who immediately ditched rousey the second she lost, will be back. All those people who claimed she was “The greatest of all time. The best female athlete ever. An inspiration for woman across the world” will rip her apart in the coming months. The white girl tears will flow through the streets. The ones in denial will say she deserved this, she’s a bitch, she’s a bully, she’s fake, etc.
The second that rematch comes around, you’ll see the #gurlpower hash tags and “We always believed in you Ronda!”
Meanwhile, anyone who’s been following MMA knows that Rousey can be annoying, but god damn she has talent. If she can just fix the holes in her game, bite the bullet and take up mayweathers offer, she has the potential to give Holly an absolute war. It’s what we all want to see. 2 of the greatest giving their all in the ring. All of us know that Ronda got outclassed, but we also know that she’s been held back for some time by a delusional edmond, and tricked into thinking she was the greatest ever by millions of people.
Now that she’s gotten this brutal wake up call, I think we’re going to see an entirely different Rousey in the next year. Only if she can accept what she’s doing wrong and work on it. If she sticks to training with people who are halting her progress, she’ll get knocked the fuck out over and over again by holly. If she becomes well rounded and really works on her stand up, we’ll see an amazing rematch.
