technically on spring break now. currently going through some numerical methods stuff, hoping to visit a botanical garden or two on my time off :)

officially one week til i'm done with the term and my digital to-do list just isn't cutting it anymore. the next seven days will be a haze of lab reports and presentations and final exams, but i'll come out the other end one step closer to getting that degree.

Had some minor health problems during the week and work is stacking up again. In moments like these, it's very easy for me to forget to take care of myself. However, I did some spring cleaning yesterday and feel much much lighter now! Listening to Saba's Few Good Things, because it just fits the mood.

Schools should not require students to have smartphones. Jobs should not require workers to have smartphones. For as much as adults rally against smartphones corrupting the youth they sure fucking love forcing us to have smartphones

we have all noticed that "self-care" basically ended up as a replacement word for "pampering" in a marketing lexicon and not as an active set of behaviours intended to allow the body and brain to adequately rest and revive in the face of the ceaseless crushing grind of capitalism yes

I'm convinced Mythbusters needs a reboot. Misinformation or mythinformation if you will, is at an all time high. We NEED the show that promotes critical thinking to come back. It doesn't need the same cast, in fact I think it would be better with some fresh faces. Imagine all the good it would do if you could just show your crazy uncle the Mythbusters reboot episode that debunks his anti-vaxx conspiracy in an easily digestible and entertaining format.

I initially read "Mythbusters needs a robot" and thought "seems reasonable let's see where theyre going with this"
