Watercolors [Open]
Even though water had been always his number one means of escaping reality when he was feeling stressed, there was only so much Haruka could do in a bathtub, and it wasn’t quite as relaxing as swimming in a pool, letting the water engulf his whole being and wash his worries away.
When the pool wasn’t accessible and the tub wasn’t enough, though, he found himself drawn to his sketchbook, which proved to be enough of a distraction to put his mind at ease for as long as finishing a simple drawing lasted—a few minutes, if he was particularly irritated having no patience to finish a complicated piece, a few hours if he was feeling inspired—and although the raven-haired’s mood wasn’t bad today he still went out to the park because, well, he loved drawing and painting almost as much as he loved swimming. Key word being almost.
There wasn’t any pool in which he could swim today, though, and with his parents out for work for the rest of the day and with nothing productive for him to do locked up in his apartment, he decided it would be a good idea to spend his day drawing in the sun, and here he was, with a decent sketch of the scenery before him starting to take a nice form in the paper, the pencil in his hands moving swiftly along the page; a concentrated expression on his face with a slight frown and the tip of is tongue peeking out every once in a while to run along his bottom lip as the drawing progressed.
As he lifted his gaze to take in the details of the scene he was drawing, though, his vision was blocked by someone who didn’t look like they were going to move anytime soon. They didn’t seem to be doing it on purpose though, so he swallowed his irritation and cleared his throat loudly to catch the person’s attention before speaking.
"You’re blocking the view."
Izaya Orihara was most certainly doing it on purpose. Being that his primary directive was to annoy at all costs, he couldn't help but notice the cute brunette boy enjoying himself so peacefully. He just had to ruin it. However, the boy's curt and quite frankly rude response to this act had caught him off guard. Most people would politely ask him to move, or even just move themselves, yet this boy possessed a backbone unseen to Izaya. Very interesting, indeed.
The informant smirked and turned around, casting his gaze to the honest blue eyes before him.
"Hm, would you be addressing me? My deepest apologies, but you must be misinformed here. You see, I am the view." Izaya replied. This was all said with the utmost seriousness.
