Ethnicity: Romani traveller in the UK

Occupation: sad clown in Circus Avion (travelling circus) Background:
Corrie was born into a Romani travelling community in the UK. His father co-runs Circus Avion, a semi-well known travelling circus with over 50 performers (Corrie being one of them). He is an only child and his mother was always more bothered about herself than looking after Corrie. She treated him more like an accessory and was only loving in ways that benefitted her. Being a businessman, Corrie's father also saw his child as an opportunity and brought Corrie into performing when he had just turned 5. He was the youngest performer for a while and more 'popular' when he was. He did many different acts, such as trapeez and fire juggling - the sort of acts that people wouldn't expect a child to be able to do. His father always had very high expectations of him, expecting nothing less than perfection. As the child of such an important man in the Circus, he had to be good to live up to his name. Because he was performing instead, and as members of his community were often home schooled or pulled out of school earlier than usual (because of the nature of travelling), Corrie never went to school. He was also never homeschooled, because neither of his parents really cared enough. Therefore, he cannot read or write and only knows how to spell his name from looking at cirus posters and name plates.
Other performers didn't usually like Corrie because he was the child of the co-leader. They liked him when he was small but only in an infantilising way. They often made fun of him and laughed when he would cry. Corrie settled in his clown act as a teen and started off as the sad clown in a happy and sad clown act. He became his own act out of that and performed with other performers who humiliated and made fun of him in role. The issue was, they treated him the same way out of role too, and he began to just be known as the sad clown, even not performing. Corrie never saw an issue in this and loved performing. After all, it was all he knew. It was all he thought he could do. He had learnt that when he is sad, its funny, so he began to exaggerate his sadness more to get approval and be liked by others. He slowly became nothing but his act, forgetting who he was out of role. One day, Corrie was travelling with his circus community to their next destination for a show. They stopped off in a wood overnight and many of the performers rehearsed in costume, Corrie included. He had put his facepaint in his pocket to reapply as needed. He kept his outfit on longer and when everyone went to bed, he couldn't sleep. Corrie often didn't change out of his costumes anyway, he was quite comfortable in them. He also has always had distrupted sleep patterns. He decided to go for a walk, which he did every time they stopped off. Though once he had wandered into the wood, he realised there was something off about it. It all looked so similar and he got lost, which he had never done before. Every time before he was able to keep his barings, but something about this place was disorienting. When he returned to where he thought his camp was, it was early morning and the sun was about to rise. He couldn't find it anywhere. He panicked and tried to follow the closest road he thought they might have gone down and came accross Oakhurst. He went into town hoping someone could help him... Because of his background, Corrie is simulaniously very sheltered and innocent and also very pessimistic. He likes what he knows and hates everything else. He does not know that vampires or anything magic exists. Now in Oakhurst, he also refuses to let anyone see him without his facepaint and would be incredibly stressed and upset if they did.
