I’m having doctor odyssey season 2 thoughts on this fine Tuesday. So here we go Doctor Odyssey Season Two: Otter’s Version (the first half of the season anyway)
Nothing’s changed from the finale except the “I am Spartacus” thing doesn’t work and captain don Johnson is removed and first officer hottie doesn’t get the promotion because he started the whole bring him back thing
So we have a new captain, someone young, someone who gave in to the owner’s wife’s advances. He’s qualified but inexperienced
Max and Avery spent the break together and it was good but not quite right. It wasn’t what they were expecting and something felt off but they’re going to make it work.
Tristan is drinking again but hiding it better. He’s still going to Rosie’s meetings but lying.
Tristan starts seeing chef Vivian and it’s not just Avery getting jealous. Max starts interrupting, making snide comments etc
So all of this is ramping up while the new captain is clearly not working out. He’s inexperienced which makes him inflexible he feels like the more experienced crew is second guessing him.
So we get to the middle (ish) of the first half of the season and we get an odyssey begins episode. Intercut with captain new guy royally screwing up a disaster we see how all our favorite characters came to be on the odyssey
That episode ends with captain don Johnson being reinstated
Next episode: Our captain is back and it seems like things are going well…major crisis solved, right?
Things start to come to a boil before the mid-season finale.
Avery’s getting ready for medical school and they have to bring on another nurse
Max is getting concerned about Tristan’s drinking
So we get to the last scene before the mid-season finale and it’s Avery packing intercut with max and Tristan fighting. Avery gets to the med bay just in time to see the guys kiss.
The audience sees her reaction, surprised but not necessarily angry and the guys pull apart just looking shocked.
And then the episode ends and everyone has to wait until spring to see what happens next

they made the new Karate Kid Legends movie just so us Dawsons Creek enthusiasts could get a glimpse at a middle aged, beefy, sweaty, shirtless Joshua Jackson. and i appreciate it so dearly
