You know you may ask me everything. It was worth everything
Well, since you’re practically insisting on me asking: who was your date with? Anybody nice?
xosarahdrew:
Probably the first and only time, David.
I don’t know. Do you believe that the Earth revolves around the Sun?
cntrlmoonlight:
My brother gets me sex toys so I’m like “this is stupid Frankie get me something I’ll actually use.” I kid you not I have an entire box of them. And like there was this rumor a few years ago that circulated around the media that I was pregnant, and my aunt being the idiot she can be at times got me a onesie that said ‘I just did nine months’ and I was confused so I asked about it and she was all “for the baby, don’t you like it?” and I was like “uh, no because I’m not pregnant” but I kept it cause I mean, I’m gonna have kids someday and it was a cute onesie.
Aww, that’s so sweet of your aunt, though, bless her. It’s the thought that counts, with that sort of thing. If they’re doing it with a good heart, you can’t help but be nice about it. Especially when it comes to baby stuff. You wait til you get round to having kids, and I swear people you didn’t know existed come out of the woodwork and buy you all this stuff for your baby, and half of it’s never gonna get used, or maybe get used once or twice, if you’re lucky.
joannagrcia:
The date did happen after all, only a bit later
Oh, well that’s not so bad. I’d ask who it was with, but I won’t pry too much. Did you enjoy yourself? Was it worth the wait at least?
xosarahdrew:
Agreed fully!
Nice to know there’s something we can agree on.
lxlipetals:
Precisely. You just summed up the point I was trying to make and sounded much more eloquent than I would have saying it. I think that attitude helps too. If you’re genuinely grateful for each job you get, knowing how fickle Hollywood can be, you appreciate it that much more.
Me sound eloquent? Eloquence has never been my forte, but I’ll take that. I suppose it is a good attitude to have in the business, because it’s honestly true that you’re never sure that your next audition will be a success, or you won’t get any offers come in anymore. It’s a very real situation for a lot of actors. I know a few people whose offers have sort of fizzled out after a while because they turn down so many offers, and suddenly they’re not getting them anymore. Not to say that you should say yes to every single offer either, because sometimes that’s virtually impossible, but it’s always good to keep an open mind. I’ve never stuck to one particular style or artistic platform, I’ve sort of swam between them all, never stopping - like a shark.
“Marry, I cannot show it in rhyme; I have tried: I can find out no rhyme to ‘lady’ but 'baby,’ an innocent rhyme; for 'scorn,’ 'horn,’ a hard rhyme; for, 'school,’ 'fool,’ a babbling rhyme; very ominous endings: no, I was not born under a rhyming planet, nor I cannot woo in festival terms.”
xosarahdrew:
You are also quite annoying!
Quite annoying and easily flattered. Yep, that just about describes me. Well, add that I’m the father to a clan of kids and that’s me to a T.
cntrlmoonlight:
I over embellish when I get something from someone that’s not a sibling-like friend. I get all commercial, like “oh my gosh, I’ve wanted one of these for so long, thank you!” and the little Ariana that lives in my brain is like “stop lying bitch you hate it” but I can’t be rude. So I just fake it.
If it’s somebody I don’t know, I over embellish, too, I must admit. The last thing you want to do is give the wrong impression. It’s times like that I wish I had the balls to be blunt about how much I dislike something. Maybe if it’s really awful, I’ll make a slightly sarcastic comment, but that’s about my limit, unless I know them well enough.
DAVID TENNANT DOES ACCENTS WHEN HE READS BEDTIME STORIES TO HIS KIDS AND THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING I LEARNED TODAY.
xosarahdrew:
You would.
What can I say, I’m easily flattered. Nothing wrong with that.
lxlipetals:
This is very true. I still think that if you’re in the public eye though, you’re holding the interest of at least somebody and in this business, negative press is still press. But - regardless, I’m glad that our press is mostly positive. I think you’re doing a pretty good job for yourself!
Oh yeah, you’re arguably better off people saying bad stuff about you than nothing at all, because if they’re not saying anything about you, it means you’re not relevant anymore, and that makes it harder to get work, or keep your current work going if it’s a TV show. I seem to be doing an alright job so far; I still go into every project thinking it’ll be a last, so it’s a nice surprise when it’s not.
joannagrcia:
“Something came in between and he took a raincheck on the date though. Kids make everything much better. when you see them smile you smile .”
Ah, well I suppose as long as the date still happens, it doesn’t matter all that much which day it’s on. Kids really do improve any situation.
Have you ever been extremely "intimate" with someone in a public place?
There’s a chance that I have been.
What Oscar nominated movie from past or present do you want a part in?
I’ve got nothing on Gregory Peck, but I’d have loved to have played Joe Bradley in Roman Holiday opposite Audrey Hepburn. I’ve always had a major crush on that woman, and that’s one of my favourite films of hers. Plus I’d get to film in Rome, which is always a nice prospect. If we’re just talking movies I could’ve feasibly been in, from the past few years or so, I’d say something like Boyhood or The Artist - like, really groundbreaking cinema, nothing else quite like it, sort of thing. That would’ve been rather fun.
Ask my muse extremely personal questions.
