This compass doesn't point north, but it will point you to your heart's desire. It's a bit unclear where Captain Jack Sparrow got this compass, but whether he got it through a trade with Tia Dalma/Calypso or as a gift from the dying Captain Morgan to help him and the rest of his crew escape a crew of pirate hunters, it is undeniable that it has guided Sparrow (and others) well in their pirate-y quests.
