Sofie grew up in an extremely lavish lifestyle. Her father was the president of a highly successful company that planes ordered their parts from and her mother was a model. She had two older brothers and a younger sister, growing up with middle child syndrome was a bitch but it caused Sofie to pursue her dreams if nothing else but to get the hell away from home and out into the world where people respected her because of who she was, what her name was. From a very young age Sofie was very photogenic, very poised, and presentable - after all her mother made sure of it, the daughter of a model could be nothing less. But when she turned thirteen she realized she could use it to her advantage and join pageants. Not only did she compete, but every single competition she entered, she won. Finally her parents were paying attention to her. They were buying her dresses, flying out to wherever the competitions were, hair, make-up, whatever it took. Sofie and her parents had a long term goal, for her to be Miss Florida, Miss USA, and then finally Miss Universe. She put in a lot of hard work and her parents put in a lot of money, and she made it pretty far. By the time Sofie was nineteen she was crowned Miss Miami, then she went on to compete and she hit her first milestone, Miss Florida. It was the happiest day of her life, she only had two more steps to go to hit what she had been striving for her entire life. However, the night of Miss USA she came down with the flu and dehydration and ended up passing out on stage โโ it brought her pageant career to a screeching halt, and gained a lot of embarrassment and regret from her. After a long vacation away to Bali to take some time to think, she knew what she wanted to do and that was to go back to school. She applied everywhere, all of the small towns in America and hoped one of them would take her and not long after, acceptance letters came pouring in and she ended up going to Davidson College in Davidson North Carolina where she studied broadcast journalism for the next four years.
Fresh out of graduation, Sofie applied all over the place, every single news station through the South and Midwest, she wouldnโt dare touch the East or West coast, she wasnโt ready for that. She wanted to get back in the public eye, to show everyone that what happened wouldnโt define her and that she had so much more to offer. It was a grueling process, but finally a local station in Tree Hill offered her a position after two Skype interviews. Things were finally looking up for Sofie and she couldnโt be more excited so she packed up and moved to Tree Hill without so much as a blink. This new chapter of her life was about to begin and she couldnโt wait to see what it held, what Tree Hill had to offer her.
