Hi! Do you have any tips about putting a portfolio for The Animation Workshop? I've heard lots of students are applying there and I don't really know the school's preferences ;;
Hi! That is a good question. You can find the requirements for the portfolio on the webside. (They are different depending on which line you want to apply to)-Character Animation portfolio requirements: http://www.animwork.dk/en/portfolio_requirements_ca.asp-Computer Graphic Arts portfolio requirements:http://www.animwork.dk/en/portfolio_requirements_cga.asp-Graphic Storytelling portfolio requirements:http://www.animwork.dk/en/portfolio_requirements_gs.aspI would say, make an estimation of how much time you have, and try to figure out how many drawings you have to do each day or week in order to reach the deadline. Collect all the work for you portfolio in a folder. Make folders for each category. (You can also start sorting some existing work in folders already.Focus on your weak points first. Look at the different categories and start with the one that you feel least confident in. That way you will have enough time to work on getting better.Google other peoples portfolios go get an idea of what kind of work to include. (Preferably people who applied and got into The Animation Workshop)They like to see:- Loose and unfinished drawings (Focus on form and gesture)- Different styles- Different mediums
You can try putting something together, and sending it to me. I can give you feedback and help push you in the right direction (I know most about the Character Animation line though) Or just writing me if you have any questions.My email is: [email protected] hope this helps :)

Hi! My name is Sofie and I just got accepted to The Animation Workshop in Viborg, where I will be attending the Character Animation Bachelor Program. On this blog I will post the work that I do during my time at TAW. If you want to check out my portfolio that I used to apply, you can do so here:
