i used to be the bad older sibling who would hit their younger sibling for like no reason or terrorize them and honestly idk how people just say they’re proud of that on here. why are you proud about having a bad relationship with your sibling? abusing your siblings shouldn’t be normal at all i wish you people would stop acting like thats a funny thing to normalize

and people on here are so against having good relationships too why are you all so hung about media portraying siblings as good friends that call each other “bro” or “sis” its not that serioues this should be a good thing i dont understand. thats a better portrayal than calling your sister a bitch

When people take issue with fictional siblings calling each other “bro” and “sis” its not that they want those siblings to abuse each other. they just want fictional siblings to be realistic. And guess what, no two people who are forced to spend every moment at home together are going to like each other. They might play nicely, but no siblings in the world actually enjoy each others company 80% of the time, not until one of them moves out. I dont hit my sisters, I dont call them names, my relationship with my sisters are us teasing each other. Playing the G note from Black Parade on a keyboard app on my phone when I enter the same room as one sibling, or loudly singing the wrong lyrics to my other sisters favorite song. Again, its not about wannting sibling characters to be abusive, but to actually portray them as people who spend every single moment of their lives together out of obligation instead of choice. Like how you would not call your coworker “Sup, Co-Man!” you’d calll them by their fucking name or a nickname if you’re on good terms.
