landon had only been talking for a view minutes and sofia had already begun to drone him out. she truly didn’t mean to but, once he got on about his friends or what so and so said at some frat party the other night her mind headed in a completely other direction. the pair sat on a bench in downtown, it was one of the free times they had together in a while with her busy school schedule and him, just being him. “—sof, are you even fucking listening?” his voice deep and irritated broke her from her thoughts. “huh?” the answer was automatic as she blinked at him for a second, “oh yeah, yeah, yeah, of course, your roommate and that girl from down the hall,” she answered with a quick nod of her head hopeful she had at least caught some of it. “no, it was my friend from the frat and the girl from the down the hall, god sof do you ever pay attention?” she blinked again at him the words hitting her hard for a second, he had a point she should have been listening. “i finally take off time from the band and school to see you and you choose to fucking ignore me,” his voice was raising, his anger becoming more and more evident by the second. she was use to his temper, use to being at the other end of it. so, when he suddenly stood up from the bench to pace in front of her she grabbed at his hand, “i’m sorry i’m sorry, you know i get distracted sometimes...” her voice was soft as her eyes looked up wide at him. sometimes it felt like the two were in a constant game of fight, break up, make up, repeat or as her friends said landon yells, sofia breaks up with him, sofia goes back to him. she loved him, or at least she was pretty sure she did. high school sweethearts turned college sweethearts, a classic love story she thought. “you’re always distracted? we finally get some time together and you just zone off with nothing in you head” he continued ranting on each word hitting sofia a little bit harder and harder, “—it’s not...” she paused her words breaking slightly, “—i’m not...” she wasn’t sure where she was going with this all she knew was he was starting to create a scene.
