[10:27pm] Knowing how much Donghan loves Marvel, you suggested a Marvel movie marathon over the weekend. His eyes light up as you ask questions, obviously happy you seem to like the movies as much as he does and that he can nerd out with you. Every time a couple appears, he compares you two to them, saying you’re the Pepper to his Tony, the Mary Jane to his Peter, the Natasha to his Bruce, the Nakia to his T’Challa, and so on.

[3:51pm] Walking through Hongdae during your date, the two of you pass a small arcade. Most of the games inside are claw machines with all sorts of prizes. Anime figurines, cute phone accessories, and high-quality plush dolls of every cute animal and character imaginable. Donghan glances at you and notices the way you’re eyeing the arcade.  “You want one?” He laughs at the way you quickly shake your head and say that no, it’s okay. “I’m really good. I rarely every lose.” You hesitate, but then admit you really want a Pikachu or an Eevee, maybe even a Snorlax! He laughs again, and the two of you make a beeline toward the Pokémon claw machine. Just as predicted, Donghan won on the first try, and he confidently grins as he hands you your brand new Eevee.

[2:44am] You jolt awake from a nightmare, heart beating fast and out of breath. Donghan wakes up beside you and asks if you’re okay, reaching out for you with a half-asleep yet reassuring smile. You admit your fears and that you had a bad dream, curling up into Donghan’s arms that are still warm from sleep. As you start to relax, he says everything will be fine with him right there, that he’ll protect you. It’s easy to believe him.
