@softandwigglybones
hello and welcome new me!
been a while since i've thought about it but once again really want to create a language for myself. please remind me around june/july when i have free time to spare
oh god oh fuck thanks for the reminder but I did NOT know how busy I would be rn. end of semester tests are brrrrrruuutal
concept: making and/or rebloging an OC ask game but then answering all asks with I don't have an oc
I will never understand the stance of explaining a joke ruins the joke
the problem is that mostly just bad news gets shared and reports on but even goods news is reporting it's often in the style of "awesome! the puppy crushing machine will no longer operate 24/7!" which IS good news but most people will react with some variation of "the WHAT?!?" and can't really take it as good news
putting an ingredient that you don't mind but others hate (or find it doesn't go well with the specific meal) into a meal is great way to get more food for yourself
question: why does english seemingly not have a distinction between Azbuka and Cyrillic
instead of fennec fox my mind had the genius though of 'a xanax fox'
like, I don't agree with either end of the spectrum, but something that kinda irks me is the argument of "you only have one life, use it!" (basically YOLO)
because, like, you can with exactly the same amount of reasonableness say "you only have one life, protect it!" and it's equally as annoying
hate it when I mix up "you can't be serious" and "you've got to be kidding me" and just mash them together thus saying the opposite of what I mean
writing a paper last minute and finishing in time is great
it's even greater when the assignment was to propose a radio play for the actual radio and you think up an actually pretty cool idea that even experiments a bit with second person narration
the only good thing wireless earbuds (and using them for phone calls) did was somewhat normalise talking to oneself
hugely a non-issue but it kinda irritates me an unreasonable amount when someone labels something as trademark in a textpost as a joke but instead of going thing™ they go thing™️
the only thing standing between me and genuinely considering myself a bad person is my belief that I don't deserve to have an opinion
so that's how I'd describe the fucked up state of my psyche
there should be a show where the first episode is titled Pilot and you you think oh it just means pilot as in first episode but then the second episode is released and it's called conductor and then the third one is called captain and then th
[aimed at a specific mutual] hey so iirc you're in a timezone about an hour Infront of me and yet I see that an hour ago you were posting to www.tumblr.com which is weird because for me it's 2am right now which means it was 2am for you then
"if you take handwritten notes with a pen, do you usually use a color that isn’t black?"
see, you'd think this would be just a normal question with a simple yes or no answer. but no. it's actually a hugely context dependent question whose answer ratio will be skewed.
you see, what is actually being asked here is "... do you usually use a nonstandard colour for your area". but since the asker assumed that the standard answer is black everywhere, people answering from areas where blue is the standard pen colour would shift the answer towards "yes" even though that's not in the spirit of the question and thus make them think that much more of the world is nonconformist (or whatever they were seeking with this question) than is actually true
