but also the isolation exacerbates it
A year ago today (via Snapchat). This was definitely a much needed reminded to show me how far I can come in a years time. Since then, I have found my purpose and thus fine tuned my goals a bit more but here I am, a nurse in Phoenix now pursuing my RN and Holistic Nutrition Certification.
Write the vision
Make it plain
Do the work
Watch your goals come into fruition.
7 years later, and I haven't obtained shit. I've allowed so much to come in between the goals I've set for myself and achieving. With that, some things I've also just changed my mind on. I still haven't obtained my RN, but I do still desire to go into Holistic Nursing. I had to move back east in order to find programs that are hybrid or online. So, maybe I need to give myself a little grace here, because lord knows I looked and lord knows I tried to find something out there that was what I wanted/needed.
I did begin a Holistic Wellness Program. It's been taking much longer than desired to complete it, but I feel like in 2 semesters, I'll be finished. My failures in finishing sooner came with overloading my plate. Trying to obtain two degrees at one time, while working full-time, serving the community, and trying to balance a relationship that wasn't the healthiest.
I'm still working to create the environment I need in order to make this completion successful. I need to change jobs, I need a healthier work environment.
The years have helped me to hone in on what I want to do. In terms of healthcare, I do want to complete my NP. ND's have too many limitations on them, I'm learning. And I'm grateful I've recently had that revealed to me. I want to focus on diet, nutrition, detox, and wellness. My holistic pathway is Holistic Nutrition, Western Herbalism, and Wellness Coaching. I just have 3 more classes left. I wish I could do them all at once, but the past struggles have taught me to go slow, steady, and be successful.
It's truly been a long road. I haven't blogged since 2020. So much has happened, but what matters is the here and now. I'm still pushing, still pursuing. My dreams just look differently, more refined, more in line with my passions. Guess I can't be too mad.

Learning the ropes
I honor myself and my existence by being confident in my uniqueness.
I honor my masculine and my feminine and I express it in a healthy way.
I am grounded in my being and rooted in my place within nature.

“A healthy woman is much like a wolf, strong life force, life-giving, territorially aware, intuitive and loyal. Yet separation from her wildish nature causes a woman to become meagre, anxious, and fearful. The wild nature carries the medicine for all things. She carries stories, dreams, words and songs. She carries everything a woman needs to be and know. She is the essence of the female soul… With the wild nature as ally and teacher, we see not through two eyes only, but through the many eyes of intuition. With intuition we are like the starry night, we gaze at the world through a thousand eyes.” ~Clarissa Pinkola Estes, ‘Women who run with Wolves’.
