tattoo machine separated from tat-a-scribble clutter: original swatches, plus some extras. edited the texture to be less crunchy and added 3 slots. made the wire thicker as well so it shows up better from afar

my first thought when seeing the tattoo light in the new pack was something along the lines of: that shit does not look stable.

inkspire glow light glued lovingly to a moschino spotlight stand for a more sturdy footing

two versions: stand edit + stand and height edit. both featuring five muted swatches

do yk how to do reshade/g shade on mac? i’ve looked it up before but it seems complicated. you always explain everything well, figured i’d ask!

hey!! the only option I have seen some people have success with is creating a partition on your mac using bootcamp to install a second operating system, i.e. windows. then you'd have to run your game through windows exclusively to be able to install reshade as it'd only work on the windows side. it does seem quite complicated and unfortunately there's no other option at the moment as neither reshade or gshade is mac os compatible.

apple support has a page on how to partition your mac if you're interested in trying. if you're able to do that and run your game through windows, any of the recent reshade/gshade installation tutorials for pc will work - again just make sure you're installing on the windows side!

that said, there are other lighting options out there that will work with mac no problem if you wanted another (easier) option, here are a few choices I know of:

no glo + no blu

even better lighting mod

gentle cas lighting

cas lighting mod set

I saw your post about 🏴‍☠️ and was wondering where do I put the sims 3 dlc files once I've downloaded them? I leave the unzipped folders in my downloads and I run the sims 3 dlc Unlocker but when I open the game I don't have any of the dlc I downloaded. I'm playing on Mac if that helps.

hello! sorry this took a minute!! I'm not on mac but I think I can still help with this:

so the dlc files themselves aren't a "mod" per se and that's why your game won't read them in the download/mod folder; or if you mean they're in your main computer download folder your game won't be able to reach them there either! they're meant to go in the sims 3 folder with the other game files since the unlocker is going to make the game recognize them as if you bought them. so they'll need to be in the folder with the other main install files - the same place they'd show up if you had bought them and they installed automatically!

I'm not totally sure where your file path for this would be on mac, likely in your Applications folder, but in your EA app you can find it by clicking on the sims 3 cover in your game library then select -> Manage -> View Properties. It should let you see the file location from there, and it won't be the same sims 3 folder your mods/saves are in! The folder you're looking for will likely be called "The Sims 3" or "The Sims 3 Packs" or "Game" on mac (wherever your EA app took you before^ - sorry I can't be more precise!). It's in that folder where you'll want to put your DLC files for your game to read them with the unlocker. You'll also want to unzip them first though - each DLC should be in its own regular file folder inside the zip, and the regular folder is what you'll put in your game files. (I called these DLC 01 and DLC 02 below just for reference, but don't rename whatever anadius called them if it's different!) so it should look something like this:

📂"The Sims 3 Packs"/"The Sims 3"/"Game" ↳ 📁DLC 01 ↳ 📁DLC 02

Once those folders are in the right place you should be able to pick back up on the step you were at in the instructions on anadius' page!

I hope that helps and sorry if it's still confusing! again I can't speak from experience or any reference at all since I don't have a mac but I think that should do the trick. let me know if it doesn't though and I can keep trying to help you figure it out!

hi, i saw your post about 🏴‍☠️ the packs and i've considered but i've purchased so many packs in the past and im scared if i start 🏴‍☠️ theyll ban my account or something

hey!! unfortunately there is always a risk of that. the risk is low but with 🏴‍☠️ you can never be 100% safe from it happening. it’s recommended to make a new account to use with the unlocker to avoid that risk.

this is the way I think of it: technically speaking, you don’t own the game the same way you would a physical object you got from the store, you’ve paid for access to it. so if you were to make a new account to get the free base game and then unlock all the dlcs through that new account, you’re still getting the same access and then some. rather than a loss you’ve actually just saved money on the content you didn’t pay for access to yet. and! since you made a new account, your legitimate access will exist separately in your old account anyway.

all that being said: to 🏴‍☠️ or not is always a personal choice. I believe the use of 🏴‍☠️ especially for ea releases is great for a lot of reasons and I just want to make people aware of other options available to them — but at the end of the day it is still your computer and your own level of comfort with the risks, no one elses. so don’t feel bad for whatever route you end up going with!!
