⋆. 𐙚 ̊ There are six species of swan—mute, whooper, trumpeter, tundra, black, and black-necked. They are all members of the genus Cygnus. The coscoroba swan used to be part of the genus Cygnus but is now considered part of the genus Coscoroba.

ᝰ.ᐟ How does Cygnus show her affection to them ?

────۶ৎ──── For Grim, she definitely loves to cuddle him to show her affection . She basically carries him around everywhere she goes . He can be either in her arms , on her shoulders , head , lap — literally you don’t see these two away from each other . Grim would always complain about how touchy she is whenever he’s trying to sleep . Cygnus always tries to get him to at least sleep on her bed with her , having his body curled up next to her head or onto her chest . She lays flat on her back ‘n is completely stiff whenever asleep . She tells Grim that he wouldn’t have a problem sleeping soundly next to her : and guess what ? She wasn’t lying. Grim definitely loves sleeping next to Cygnus because of how quiet she is . Never says it to her face though .

────۶ৎ──── For Deuce , she loves to hold hands with him ! When first mentioned to him , he freezes . He thinks about the possibilities of people thinking that they are dating and how it will be quite uncomfortable for him . Cygnus is not dumb . She wouldn’t want to place him in a vulnerable state so she suggested they do it privately to avoid any eyes — he hesitates but eventually obliges . A few walks together were a bit weird , but after the next , Deuce starts to warm up just a little bit . He still isn’t too keen on the idea of doing it publicly , however with close friends , it’s different . Deuce allows Cygnus to hold his hand around people that they are both comfortable with . For example Ace , Yuu , Grim . Cygnus would not push Deuce into forcing him to hold onto her hand at all times … if she just needs to touch something , and Deuce happens to be right there , she’ll ask for permission then entangle her fingers with his .

────۶ৎ──── For Jack , it’s definitely placing stickers on him . Jack Howl finds it absolutely ridiculous , and quite childish . Jack kept declining firmly on the idea . No matter how many times she would beg him or convince him ; it’ll always be a N O . Cygnus slowly starts losing hope from his constant head shakes and eventually ends up not asking for months . From her not asking almost daily , it caught his attention . Her not asking daily felt oddly off-putting to him . It became a habit that Jack slightly started to miss . So, at lunch , he lets out a contempt sigh and turns to face Cygnus who stood beside him in the lunch line . “You remember those, uh, stickers that you wanted to stick onto me? And I kept saying no?” Cygnus nodded , a bit confused where this is coming from . Jacks’ cheeks turn a light pink . “You can … put them on me. Just for today..” And now he wishes that he can take that back. Because not only did Cygnus technically jump in joy but she took that as an invitation to doing it every single day — placing stickers onto his cheeks , hands , or arms . This is what happens when Jack tries to be exceptional for once .

────۶ৎ──── For Floyd , it’s jumping onto his back ! Would it be crazy to say that Cygnus likes Floyd mainly because he gives her free piggy back rides ? Nahhh , I don’t think so . Whenever Floyd is in a good mood she takes the opportunity to sneak behind him and latch herself onto his back . Floyd knows who it is instantly . “Swimmy Swan!” He giggles helping her roll onto his back . He holds her legs underneath securely and will sometimes start to speed - walk down the hallways to make the ride exciting . Though most of the time it’s just him carrying her around ‘n talking to her casually . Most students would look at them crazy and become a bit unsettled . Some might even think it’s weird how Cygnus feels that comfortable around someone like Floyd . Now what would happen if Cygnus ends up jumping on him when he has his bad moods ? Simple ; Floyd tells her to get off or threatens to squeeze her . Cygnus may be desperate at times but not that desperate . Like with everyone else , Cygnus will never know which one she’ll come across . She just hopes for the best .

────۶ৎ──── For Yu , it’s spending quality time . Yu has been an unknown person to Cygnus . When she first heard about Yu’s reputation as the magicless student around the school , Cygnus had been quite interested in them for some time . When they first met , Cygnus remained quiet around them . She would stay a fair distance away from them secretly observing them from afar . She eventually starts to crack up whenever Yu includes them in activities with their friends . Yu understands how being the odd one feels . Yu didn’t possess any magic , Cygnus is unknown to most excluding Grim . When Cygnus hung out around Yu she’s quite shocked by how similar they really are despite having different situations . Because of that reason , Cygnus wants nothing more but to cling onto their side . Yu and her often study together , stay in the ramshackle dorm , have picnics if both of them have free time … all of that . Yu becomes someone that Cygnus can actually call a ‘best friend .’ Well, Grim is always on top , but Cygnus doesn’t like to compare . Hehe!~☆

────۶ৎ──── Ace would definitely be quite weirded out . Not in a disgusted way, more like in a “what the heck are you doing” way . He’s not the type to cling onto people like their lives depend on it . He might shove you off at first and tell you to grow up … yet give it a few weeks or perhaps months he might warm up to it . He’ll start letting you cling onto him and may even allow you to do so in public . It’s a weird feeling for him for sure . He expects you to give him some patience to get used to this but best believe when he does he won’t let you go either. You guys will become snuggle bugs !!

────۶ৎ──── Jamil is giving you a huge side eye . He already has Kalim to deal with — why would he want someone who clings onto him like a koala ? Just like Ace it’s weird to him , the sudden urge for you to be on him all the time wanting to hold his arm and not let go or even leave his side is just weird for him . He doesn’t say it out loud with actions but his expression definitely will . Slowly he’ll … tolerate it . He says you can be by him but he expects you to listen whenever he just wants quiet or if he’s busy with something that of course involves Kalim or something simple like school stuff . If you manage to do that , then he won’t mind you following him around like a puppy ‘n touching him affectionately such as hugging , holding hands , probably even kissing if he’ll allow that .

────۶ৎ──── Riddle’s first reaction is shock , then rage . He’ll tell you to stop that childish nonsense at once and scold you on how inappropriate it is for you to cling onto him w/o permission . He’ll speak to you like you have just lost your marbles !! No excuses would be heard … until eventually he sighs in defeat when he realizes that there’s just absolutely nothing to stop you . You kept clinging onto him no matter how many times he’d yelled at you for it . He threatened to off your head , that didn’t work . He threatened to tell someone ( reasonable ) on you , he thought of everything in the book to get you off but it’s like you were unstoppable . However, Riddle weirdly slowly starts liking this sort of attitude from you . NOT THAT HE’LL EVER SAY IT TO YOUR FACE but whenever you wrap your arm around his so carelessly and entangling your fingers with his he can’t help but just heat up ! He swore that it’s “off with your head” next time you touch him … yet your neck remains untouched .

────۶ৎ──── Idia’s brain short-circuits . He’s frozen . Unsure what to do . He’ll stand there like a deer in headlights from all the closeness and touchy hands . He yelps ‘n weeps whenever you appear out of nowhere from a corner then wrap your arms around him ‘n tell him how much you miss him and how you never wanna leave his side . It’s like you are trying to kill this man ! His face turns into a tomato whenever he feels your body just squish against him . He even tries to hide away from you sometimes because you do too much . It’s gonna take more than a month for him to warm up . Yet once he does , he’d wouldn’t jump too much nor squeal like he’ll usually do . A few groans here ‘n there but nonetheless allow it . If he wants to get a lil’ handsy as well he’ll occasionally pat your back or hold your hand with his . You guys walk around the campus together with you leaning onto him like a stick of glue . He’ll get a bit giggly from your weird obsession of clinging on him but from that point he’ll get used to it .

────۶ৎ──── Cygnus reacts confused . She’ll raise an eyebrow at you but from that point on she won’t comment on it . You freely cling onto her every chance you get . She doesn’t react the way you want her to , but honestly , her actions speak more than words . You’ll know when she actually loves how clingy you are . She does secretly have a clingy side due to decades of experience with loneliness and isolation — so you BOTH become inseparable . She’ll even give you chocolates or lemonades to show you how she gives affection . There’s no limit on the clinginess if you wanna go overboard she will DEFINITELY love it . So please , show all your love to her !
