New Year, New Save File ✨

Simkhira’s Small Town Save File is inspired by my little hometown in Southeast, USA. For this save, I wanted to create a world that caters to all of my favorite gameplay styles (country core, university core, legacy core, etc.) in a nostalgic way that made sense to me. Over the past couple of months, I have been able to transform Willow Creek into something that I am really proud of. I hope you all enjoy the lots, the backstories, and the small town political lore just as much as I do.

Custom Content (Included):

This save file contains 1GB worth of custom content. I have included these files in the download to save any hassle. If the game opens and says you are missing content, no you are not. I have play-tested this save file using only the files included and did not find any issues.

How to Install Save Files:

Make a backup of your “Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Saves” folder.

Download the file, unzip, and place the file in your “Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Saves” folder.

If you already have a file with the same name, change the slot number to a number that you don’t have. (i.e. change Slot_00000000d.save to Slot_00000009d.save)

Once you open your game, you will see “Simkhira’s Small Town Save V1”. Open it!

Once opened, “Save As” to create a copy of the save file for your own gameplay.

If the game says that you are missing custom content, no you aren’t. I have double-checked.

Lastly, enjoy and have fun!

Write Books Overhaul (Click the image above for full res)

Hi all! Here's my latest creation; an overhaul of writing for The Sims 4! It's always bugged me that writing a Children's book is considered a low Skill interaction, and that Sims can't write other genres without skilling up.

Now, all genres will be available to write no matter their Writing Skill level. Skill Books are also available to write, from level 4+ of the relevant Skill you want to write about.

New computer interactions and custom buffs are now available, and uninspired Sims can shake off their Writer's Block with a trip to a Writing Retreat. They can also sell their work online by Self-Publishing with Simazon at Writing Skill Level 2, selling the rights to a Publisher (Level 5) and Submitting their work to the Literary Digest (Level 9).

Plagued by Writer's Block but can't afford to go on an expensive retreat? No problem, there are new online tools to fix that!

I really hope you like this; it's something I've been wanting to do for a while.

Medieval Retail Therapy Overhaul (Patreon FREE)

I am SO proud of this. This is my first successful frankenmesh project and I am also new to making overrides so this whole set was such a fun adventure! This week, I bring you a small set of medieval retail items to help make running a business feel more authentic for your medieval Sims.

I focused on providing replacements/alternatives for the retail objects that your Sims are forced to use at their retail businesses.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

A new functional coin box & ledger cash register (8 swatches)

Restock sign overrides (for floor, surfaces, walls, and ceilings)

Retail tablet override

IMPORTANT INFO

The retail tablet and restock signs are OVERRIDES. They replace the original retail tablet and restock signs, so they will conflict with anything that touches these objects. NEVER install more than one override for the same object.

The coin box cash register is not an override. It shouldn’t conflict with anything and you can still use the other cash registers. You can find it in Build/Buy with the other cash registers.

The coin box is functional as a cash register but Sims will still do the same animation they do with the other cash registers.

The retail tablet also replaces the tablet that the Grim Reaper uses when he reaps your Sims. This was an unintended feature but still useful for medieval saves so I kept it like that!

Everything in this set requires the Get To Work expansion pack.

HOW TO INSTALL

Download all the package files and put them in your Mods folder. Easy peasy! If you need more help, check out my beginner’s guide to mods and CC on Sims Community.

Chicken Breed Pack #1

I LOVE Cottage Living.  I was a bit bummed though when I saw the limited breeds of some of the animals.  Some other modders have begun with new breeds for cows (and I may join them at some point), but I haven’t seen any mods for new chicken breeds yet.

BEHOLD, Chicken Breed Pack 1.  This is a freebie (because I just cannot  stop giving away my best content).  This pack contains four new breeds of chicken, for a total of 8 new chickens (each has a Hen and Rooster variant).

Edwardian Child Clothes

This set include of 2 dresses, a smock and a brooch overlay, all of them recolors of @zurkdesign’s Sunday dress, with their permission the mesh is included but do check out the original mesh here and the rest of teir work on their site and their patreon. 

The dresses would work best from late 1890s to early 1910. This style of smock on the other hand seem to have been worn from the late 1880s to the early 30s at least.

Skate Zone - Roller-skating Rink
