I’ve seen a lot of people talking about the snugstone and how they were surprised to see it colored in all these blues instead of the traditional reds that come with fire magic

Not to mention it’s the color of Qifrey’s eyes I don’t have the time to go into that

And I was thinking. You know what other spell I saw animated and went oh wow that’s so pretty and not the colors I expected it to be animated as?

Qifrey’s water dragon. Which does in fact have the traditional fire magic coloring

All of their magic contains bits and pieces of each other in one way or another they are making me ill

Still find it extremely rude (affectionate) that the way Shirahama found to keep Qifrey by Olruggio's side was by making it so that the relief he felt from NOT having to keep erasing Olruggio's memories was so massive that it could trigger the silverwood's growth. That even though he was alone, without a stable home (albeit under the sky like he wanted) far from Olruggio and still burdened with the guilt of the past erasures, just the relief that he might not have to do that anymore, the relief that he wouldn't be hurting his friend anymore, was enough to risk his life. And that he did not come back out of self-preservation, no. He came back because if he died he would be negating Olruggio's sacrifices, as he says, breaking his promise to him - the promise he was all but forced to take!

And how it's implied that before taking on apprentices, it was much more common that he needed to erase Olly's memories. Because he didn't have the constant worry over the girls, the silverwood would probably sprout more often. He says that he was "calculating" and "selfish" for taking on apprentices, but it was for Olruggio's sake; to honour the promise and to limit the frequency with which he wipes his memories. Yes it's all so that Qifrey can live but it's pretty much outright stated that if it weren't for Olruggio he would have died long ago.
