She only really insults him and degrades him, totally ignoring that her "boyfriend" filmed and mocked when members of the regime were being tortured and killed. She ignores when he warns her that the feds are evil, she is naive and ignorant. She prefers to live in bliss then face the reality.

Now I dont watch Katie often but I watch Ash ALOT and he has told her multiple times what the feds have done to him and she has ignored him multiple times. Even going as far as disregarding his feelings and saying something along the lines that he paranoid (i cant remember exactly but it was like brushing him of)

He is just desperate, desperate for some resemblance of family. Katie gives him the bare minimum of appreciation and he now he listens to her every whim.

This game made me cry so bad.

I was sexually harassed and assaulted at a young age, and was unable to understand what was. Always believed I was in the wrong. That it was me at fault. happening to me. The game was really relatable for me ☹️ Especially the ride "Are we truly alone?", because I thought I was all alone in a void of shame.
