what does "softsuiting/softsuit/softsuiter" mean?

softsuits was originally just the name of this blog! i never expected it to become a term or a verb- but i have been noticing people using it as a term, which brought me to think about what ‘softsuiting’ is. 

when i named the blog, i didn’t think about how ‘soft‘ is often used to mean ‘less explicit’- this wasn’t my intention. soft was just referring to the suits themselves, my body, and the attitude/vibe i wanted to convey. 

ive noticed some using the term to describe themselves and their content as less explicit than murrsuiting content. it makes sense to me why some would want a term for that- but it wasn’t my intention to suggest this with my posts.

with softsuits, i just try to avoid the things in murrsuit content that normally squick me- some examples being a lack of artistic direction, & the jarring contrast of realistic human genitalia visible through a hole on a cartoon body. i often prefer sculpted or obscured genitals that mesh well with the rest of the particular image. keep in mind, i want people to continue to make whatever murrsuit content they want to make- and i hope that no one is discouraged by my personal preferences. 

so, i guess softsuiting is murrsuiting with some artistic direction. but that feels so… pretentious! oh well…

tldr; i guess i just accidentally introduced another term for murrsuiting. oops!
