Meet my lacenet fankids, Velvet and Tulle!! The Huntsman and The Recluse. Twin daughters woven to have the life their parents could not. (I created these 2 last month after getting a strawpage req for fan children 🤭) Their names match Lace(fabrics) and their titles match Hornet(spider types)
♥️ Velvet: a highly skilled fighter that can be pretty vain & naive at times. The last thing Lace wanted was for her children to feel like empty husks the way she once did.. so she praised their silkspun lives to no end, and it went to Vel's head. She tends to throw herself headfirst into danger any chance she gets just to prove and hone her skill. She takes after Hornet and looks up to Shakra
💜 Tulle: a sensitive, gentle giant. she grew up being very protective of her silk, & as she got older it became almost an obsession. She refused to cut or share it with anyone, so she began to isolate herself. She's always had a huge interest in her mother's weaving ability 🪡 and due to overconsumption/hoarding of silk, she's grown.. unusually large. She enjoys weaving/knitting and braiding, it's efficient with the extra set of arms
I imagine Lace to be infertile, and Hornet prefers not to carry a child(due to the Abortion Theory with that Bilewater quest where she was forced to carry the Twisted Bud & had to get it removed). so here, Hornet opted to weave their offspring into existence using a mixture of hers and Lace's silk to avoid a painful/traumatic birth. They both had a long recovery period afterwards bc of loss of silk but they love their children dearly and wish to pass their knowledge and skills onto them 🫶
