Half Man | Episode 4
good thing noble on noble crime was legal
Adrian is here!! 🥳🎉
Twice, Ryland Grace is faced with the same pivotal decision: to save himself, or to save an entire planet.
The first time:
He is surrounded by white (bravery) and is wearing yellow (cowardice)
The world is telling him to be brave, but he can’t, not yet, because he is a coward.
He has lost his identity and autonomy
The decision is already made (he must die)
He is all alone (he doesn’t have the bravery gene)
The second time:
He is surrounded by yellow (cowardice) and is wearing white (bravery)
He is in the middle of his namesake: a field of rye. The field is the yellow of cowardice; that is who he was, but he can’t be that, not anymore, because he is brave.
You know who you are. You’ll do great.
The decision is already made (Rocky must live)
Rocky’s ball is beside him (he has found someone to be brave for)
the fact that he's surrounded by rye, his namesake, ryland, when ryland was never brave, was always a coward, and grace, the man he became, the one born on the hail mary, is brave.... UGH
Stratt v. Rocky Project Hail Mary (2026)
get in the hail mary, grace
People are crackshipping Markiplier with Ryan Gosling. The scifi genre is peaking so hard.
robby santos 🤝 father daughter in every universe
i'm in love with how dennis is becoming the core of er, slotting into robby's role. He's taking med students under his wing, he's reassuring Javadi, he's checking on Trinity constantly, he's trying to console Samira about patient death (this one went wrong tho, eh). And, finally, comforting Ogilvie in the ambulance bay.
I can't wait to see how the system will chew and spit him out, the same way it did with robby
omfg hey baby wake up another case of dr robby projecting just dropped
You and me both, jack
gotta treat his mental illness with hugs and an (in)voluntary psychiatric hold
tbh that's not even "fraying at the edges" anymore; that's an equivalent of watching a plane crash happening right in front of you, and you know it's gonna hit the ground somewhere in the next three episodes
let's be real for a second. yes robby is severely mentally ill and he feels threatened by the people around him and it's making him lash out disproportionally. yes a lot of robby's conflics involve women because there are a lot of women there who happen to be part of it. yes, he is specifically disrespectful to them for lots of reasons. yes he's still a good teacher to most of them. yes he has some toxic masculinity and can't handle the fact that an emotionally regulated woman who isn't a carbon copy of him is taking over. yes he is perpetuating the culture of pushing down emotions while he can't do it himself. yes that's hypocritical. yes he's hurting and projecting. he's severely ill that's what happens. yes he's fallen victim to the system he is proudly maintaining. yes he needs to stop picking and choosing who gets his respect. yes i think he deserves love and care and a break. yes i think he can be a good teacher and a productive chief of the ED. yes he is a very average white man who will suck in the white-man-way. no he can't be emotionally available but tells people to ask him for help anyway. he doesn't want to let people down and he wants them to like him but he hasn't liked himself since pre-covid. he has a motorcycle that he rides without a helmet and a smile on his face, he is suicidal, he tried therapy and he hated it, he is loving, he sucks, he tries, he's robby. he's not one thing, but if he is one thing it's that he's human.
You really had to phrase it like this, huh?
i saw an absolutely beautiful arcane edit with this song and it just clicked. lost my sleep for a day to complete it, so glad i got it out of my system ;_;
