i hc that robby found her near his apartment one night and figured he would take her in and get her healthy before giving her to a shelter for adoption. but she’s perfect, grounds him and loves him even at his worst that he realises he needs her just as much as she needed him. so he couldn’t possibly give her up. and whilst he might deny it, he’s absolutely besotted by her. she’s spoilt as heck.

imo he names her fish because his apartment doesn’t allow pets (except for fish) and he thinks it’s funny. also her full government name being fish robinavitch is perfect because it rhymes. special shout out the goat @croxotic on twitter for coming up with her and opening my eyes to robby being a cat dad
