Do it NOW... Act.. Make your voice heard!
You will reit should net neutrality be lost.
The object of art is not to reproduce reality, but to create a reality of the same intensity.

Fabulous papercraft models of antique cameras
Korean artist Ji-Hee Lee makes all sorts of classic cameras as paper models, like this 1989 Rolleiflex.

How I get myself out of photography ruts
1. Force myself to go out and shoot. Not as easy as it sounds, because I can be a lazy bastard, but when I do this I always come away with at least one usable photo.
2. Drive around with my camera. I don’t always have my camera with me, but I’ll do this (usually after following #1). I always find something interesting even where I live, and I know this place really damn well.
3. Use a different lens/camera. New toys equal motivation, always. You can always borrow or rent equipment if you’re on a budget. I have never gotten a new lens or camera and not used it immediately.
4. Go somewhere familiar and use the wrong lens. Sounds a little stupid, but it will get you to view something through new eyes. Since you already know where you are going you probably know how you like to take pictures there, that will change. I promise something will catch your eye with something besides your usual.
5. Shoot in black and white. Not edit it later, but actually change the camera settings and do it. Don’t think just go do it.
6. There are literally thousands of photo ideas and challenges online. So, you have no excuse for not having any ideas or inspiration.
7. Pick something different. Like to photograph nature? Go in the city, and vice versa. Yes, you will be out of your comfort zone, but so what?
8. Embrace the fact that you will possibly fail. Who cares? If you are shooting digital, then so what? It costs nothing to shoot digital, because hey you’ve already got a camera and everything you need!
9. Explore new places. Who doesn’t love exploring? If you are a photographer I sure hope you do.
10. Go back to the beginning. Where did you start? What was that one thing you used to always shoot, but don’t bother with so much anymore? You’ve grown on your journey, put that knowledge into old haunts and subjects.
I as guilty as anyone for falling into and complaining about ruts, but we are the ones that hold us back.
So, let go and happy picturing!
