Iāve never drank alcohol and Iāve never been in a club or an actual pub for anything more than a meal, and even that was brief. when i wrote pt65 i was really paranoid that it would be obvious because the extent of my experience is babysitting a variety of drunk friends. to this day i donāt know if it was glaringly obvious or not

It had been a long time since he had been anything but a ghost, a long time since anyone had wanted him to beā and as much as he trusted MacTavishās judgement, Ghost knew he was better suited to it when there was a problem with a clear solution, one where he was only expected to switch off his mind and do anything it took to get to it.
It was busy. There wasnāt a moment of quiet, not a moment where he could stop and thinkā and worse than that was the way that people looked to him as he thought, waited for his opinion, staked their own on his.
Second-in-command. The words didnāt even suit him, came out oddly on his lips as he sounded them out.
ghost is coping with the war, and the new position, and the distance, absolutely fine as far as anyone is concerned. he doesn't have the right to feel any different, anyway.

8: what part of etched in the surface is your favorite?
okay, i actually have 2 answers here:
1) the duct tape scene which genuinely makes me sound insane bc i went back and forth on it sooo many times bc i was worried it was too much. but i think it was a really good metaphor for everything, iām glad i didnāt talk myself out of it, bc i think its super easy for characters to not want to acknowledge something until u literally throw it in their face and it works as a metaphor for captavās worst fears about their relationship, and i think its the only thing extreme enough to justify him leaving after? if it was anything softer, it would have been cruel to leave, but captav had to see himself as a monster and doing ghost a favour by leaving for the scene to work. so. iām not insane i promise
weirdly, the original plans for the scene were much moreā¦ romantic, in a way? not romantic but kind of warped romance, like ghost is letting him in so close and letting him touch him especially on such a tender wound. and it only internally bothers captav because he canāt help but draw parallels, like it should be romantic but its not. but then it would have been really horrible for captav to sneak out after all that :( tbf the entire thing was lowkey horrible for everyone on all sides. but that was my fault so sorry guys
2) weirdly, lorena from ch4? i think i just have a soft spot for characters w kids and its really brief (sheās only there for like 1/3 of a chapter) but it also works as a plot device and opens the door to their individual perceptions of the situation, especially bc theyāre both seeing ghost in that situation. captav thinks sheāll get home, ghost thinks theyāve thrown her out of the frying pan and into the fire, but by the end ghost is the one telling captav that sheās probably on her way home because he wants to believe it and he wants mactavish to not feel all hope is lost, too. also i had so much fun w the spanish and the dialects i got a proofreader and everything. however iirc no one really commented on it so Iām hoping it was just one of those plot points no one minded instead of it being disliked :,,)
4: is there an au or trope that you haven't written before, but would want to try?
not in ytk but for ghoap or ghost specifically, i always thought any au that messes with the perception of humanity would be a really fun way to explore his character. anything from hybrid/winged aus to hyper realistic androids, i just think it could be fun to do a character study on the humanity of someone when the au allows for such a good allegory for it!!
19: give a hint/teaser about something you're writing without any context or explanation!
oh gosh Iām running out of these hmm. brothers maybe? or pillow forts :3 this is shockingly difficult to do with wips lol iām scared iāll just change my mind and then iāll b a liar
2: if you could sit down and finish any completely new fic without anything stopping you (time, tiredness, etc), what would you write? tell us about it if you want!
iāve always sat on this idea abt time travel ā22 ghoap, but for some reason i never got around to writing it! quite frankly if i could sit and write the rest of the ytk fics without getting tired i would appreciate that. my mitochondria is getting in the way of my yaoi
20: is there a certain kind of fic that feels the most satisfying to finish? any reason why?
iām very fond of self contained fics, like i love it when all the little plot points complete each other. writing cohesive fics is hard!!!! but i just happen to like it when the little subplot thats going on gets answered by the main plot, or when a plot hole in the A plot gets neatly covered up by the B plot. it also makes it wayy easier to write, like whenever iām getting stuck i just take a step back and figure oht what themes iām going for, and then whatever it is, i just lean way more into it!!! iām not great at this 100% of the time but i just really like it when everything falls into place
the only example i can think of is āgod only knowsā for some reason but basically that entire thing was primarily supposed to be fluff, but i was just struggling. and i realised a big theme of it is feeling like u have a family, so i added that, and then a big part of that is captav feeling alienated from his family, so i made that the main internal conflict, and basically all that gets answered by ghost finally accepting his silly pyjamas as a gift :3 so it just feels nice to finish, like i tied it all into a neat bow :3
14ā¦. was gonna ask twelve but then i realized all your fics are songs so youāre basically putting together a playlist haha
14: is there anything outside of your normal content that you want to write?
hm iāve always wanted to mess with some darker themes, but every time i try and write it iām just like :c imagining myself in that situation so maybe iām just not built for it. at the risk of sounding a bit conceited i actually just really like hurt/comfort works, itās my favourite 100% of the time, i donāt think thereās much else i want to write. the fluff i write turns into hurt/comfort. the angst i write turns into hurt/comfort. iām like king midas if king midas turned everything into difficult emotions soothed away by love and safety.
(12: iāll b so real with you some of the songs r just the titles cause i was listening to them. sometimes i listen to the most 09 ghoap song ever but i canāt make a title out of it so i just give up lol)

3: what do you like about your writing?
i like how sensory it is. if any of u have ever read anything by christy lefteri, she is a massive influence on my writing style!! idk i just like being able to feel everything in a scene, yk? iām nosy i want to know whats going on
6: if you were to write a part two/sequel to a fic, what fic would you want to write it for?
ooh wait i wanted to write a ch3 for āgently in the cold dark earthā for AGES it was just going to be a short chapter abt ghost leaving the hospital and finding out everyone stayed awake to see how he was. and being like ???? but in a kind of heartwarmed way, like āwhat the fuck are you guys doing?ā¤ļøā
i kind of want to write that scene from etched in the surface after captav leaves but from ghostās perspective, but that will probably only ever get posted here anyway even if i write it
actually weirdly i donāt have very many works i want to write a sequel for!! i wish i had put more detail into the original work sometimes, just to clarify things, but i quite like starting and ending stories from unconventional spots. half my works start in the middle of a load of action bc i started writing it from the logical start and then instantly got SOOO bored i just skipped to the fun part and started writing. so normally by the time they end i think iāve ran out of stuff to go on abt. i will update this if i remember anything tho
18: how do you want your writing to feel to your readers?
all your choices are divisible by 3!! anyways, i think like a warm blanket. when i was a kid i used to get so into books Iād literally forget where i was, so maybe sort of like that? i want it to feel warm, and familiar, and maybe exciting but with the way that u know it has to end okay :)
idk, i donāt mind how my writing makes people feel but there is a phrase i am struggling to translate, that basically means like your heart is full? i think the phrase also exists in english so its probably fine but if i canāt do that then iāll settle for ppl reading it and feeling better :3
