Patty Perreira y Bill Barton se conocieron en Oliver Peoples,  la marca norteamericana fundada en 1987, Barton era el Presidente de la compañía y Perreira diseñadora y en el 2007 decidieron volar y fundar la suya propia: Barton Perreira.

Hoy es sin duda uno de los nombres que marcan la tendencia en el mundo de la óptica y se han ganado un merecido prestigio en el mundo de la moda y del espectáculo. Angelina Jolie, Heidi Klum, Jessica Biel, Orlando Bloom, Rachel Zoe, Chloë Sevigny y Giovanni Ribisi (ver primera foto) son habituales de la marca y Ribisi, además, el autor de dos modelos de la marca.

Están fabricadas a mano por artesanos con los mejores materiales y tienen su sede en Irvine, Orange County, en el sur de California, a una hora de Los Angeles. EP
