As Sebastian gets prepared to go and help man the line of soldiers escorting the Greeks out, an unforeseen attack may take him out of the game, for good.
Unfortunately, he wouldn't have the chance to film any of this. Sebastian had been asked to come and aid the other legionnaires in making sure the Greeks left the city in an orderly fashion. He was beside him, thinking about it all. Sebastian didn't really find any of this to be shocking. The way New Rome’s senators were, how so many citizens held such passion and pride - not mentioning racism. Sebastian hadn't expected though for them to give the Greeks such little time to leave. He was in his barracks, lacing up his boots and sitting on his bed.
For the most part, the barracks were quiet. If anybody was happy about the Greeks leaving, they weren't here. Maybe all the anti-Greek members of the third cohort had already gone down to help see the Greeks on their way out. Sebastian was in no rush. All this was to him was something New Rome would do to anybody who didn't fully conform to their ways. He was shocked they still allowed Fauns in the city.
Now that he was ready, his bow and arrows settled on his back, Sebastian started towards the doors. Right before his hand grabbed the handle, he heard something from far away. Everyone in the barrack looked around, someone muttered something, then it happened.
There was the loudest sounding band that he had ever heard. A force propelled him forward with such strength, for a moment he wondered if the gods had come down to let out a howling scream. Sebastian’s body was knocked against the door, packing such energy behind him that he broke it down. His body acted like a rag doll, rolling around on the ground, limbs totally useless. As fire and gas spewed out from the barracks, Sebastian caught much of the heat.
His mouth was filled with dirt from the earth beneath. Sebastian’s body had gone numb to everything except the fire that caught onto him. He reacted to that first, thanked the gods he was on dirt, and rolled around. He wasn't even sure if he was screaming, but he knew that he just had to act fast if his skin would be saved. The son of Apollo started to get to his feet after a minute. He looked around and saw the smoke rising into the air. It was like night had fallen a storm was following after it. Where had any peace gone to?
Grabbing his bow and nocking an arrow, Sebastian made his way around the side of the barracks, moving as best he could on two wobbly feet. The poor demigod didn't make it far before another explosion happened near him again. This time, sending the arrow he had ready to fight with right into his upper left arm. Sebastian found himself on the ground again, hearing faintly something crumble. That second explosion took a lot out of him. As pieces of the barrack fell upon him, leaving him pinned, fire continued to scorch his bottom half. Sebastian, with as much strength as he could muster tried to call for help. With chaos raging though, who could hear his pleas?
