We're terribly sorry that the summer solstice came and went without Solarpunk Aesthetic week and the mod team has been quiet about it for weeks. We have been going through Stuff™ on our personal lifes and didn't have energy or mental capacity.

BUT

We now have a date for the 7th Solarpunk Aesthetic Week! It's 27th of July to 2th of August, so... Next week.

Update

Finished the shinai bag and have been working on my filet crochet

next up will be another quilt - going with a green color theme and hexagons

CRAFTING UPDATE

so a couple weeks ago i started going to the local kendo studio and recently got my sword! (note: my sword was included in membership but somr studios do require a seperate payment for it) So been making a DIY Sword Bag using a meshup of these two tutorials

I decieded to for the reinforment layer to do som sashiko

The fabric is some old canvas fabric I had in my stash but the thread (and the fabric that will be used in the main body were bought new from a local quilting shop in my town)

I am also working on a filet crochet project

The thread was old thread my mom bought and had in her stash for a while and then gave to me a couple years ago

so i decided to make them into studs

i have decided that its gonna be an art piece - ima go to a thrift shop thats open after my shift to find a small frame to put it into

i did run out of earings so all the empty spaces will be filled witb old beads and buttons - some from my own collection and some from the thrift shop

cars fucked - i do not mind driving and generally enjoy traveling but i dislike cars in general however - theyre just not reliable and ecologically unfunny and more than that the amount of work and money needed to is kust not worth the effort

Working on a new project - a scrap project

ive had this fabric for awhile and id like a new pillowcase making a pillow

my grandma gave my mom some old stuff including this white lace pillowcase thing thats turned kinda yellow - my plan is to cut off the fabric and add it to the pillow

i am getting a masectomy* tomorrow - and any thought and/or, if religious, prayers.

its just a thing and its nerve wacking even though its heavily desired

(* for the sake of clarity, i am not getting top surgery im getting a different masectomy for the sake of cancer prevention, i am also trans, which made the decision a little easier)

surgery went fine - not in a lot of pain just sore - my car accident was worse then this
