❝ I guess that’d be one perk, seeing Paarthurnax… How does he take to Vampires? I don’t imagine he’d be happy to see one. I still stand by what I said, though. Join me on a quest at some point so I can prove to you that it’d be better than what h e has to offer. ❞
“He’s only tried to roast me a couple of times. I think he’s warming up to me.” Sometimes, it was difficult to differentiate Serana’s wit and her luck of stringing words together, be it snarky or clever. “I’ll think about it.”
An otherwise stiff body began to shift - writhing in a tall chair, rousing herself from her slumber in order to learn from the creature she was faced with. Currently no hostile movements were made, the Keeper knew that the secrets were not what this beast intended on leaving with. ❝—-a creature reborn from blood. I understand your attraction to this place. ❞
“Eh?” Lips twitched, befuddled by the received response. She had little to no purpose of being here. As a matter of fact and simply put, the vampire is lost. Serana had no clue on how it was that she came to be upon this place, and was still under the presumption that this is somewhere close to home. Subtracting the constant wintry shower, this place is just as dull and gloomy. “I’m just... Looking around. Not the best season for tourists, I know.”
LONG LIVE THE Q U E E N
( lit. cersei written by jessica )
Tauriel was envious of Serana’s ventures, that much was obvious. She longed for a sense of adventure, but also a sense of belonging. She wanted to have fun and see things she hadn’t seen before - with people and friends she considered to be close to her. Her life was an immortal one, yes, though that did not mean she wanted to sit and wait forever.
“Family, once. Though now I am here, away from Valenwood — away from my kin. The one thing stopping me now is knowledge. I know little of realms outside of Valenwood.”
“Valenwood? Can’t say if I’ve ever been there.” Though for certain, all it takes is a page of some tome for her to recollect, if there was ever any former knowledge on the setting. Serana understood the elf’s plea, perhaps far more than Tauriel realizes; but that is an undisclosed detail that she wasn’t quite comfortable in sharing just yet.
“Ah, well you’re in luck! I enjoy traveling companions, so long as they’re certain to bring me some excitement, and that they’re not hunters after my head.”
( @solartyranny | skyrim verse. )
Fingertips delicately traced along the bow settled in hand, casually admiring the workmanship of her kin — the Bosmer. Just like any of the elves in Skyrim, those in Valenwood were skilled in the art of weapon making; though admittedly Tauriel was much more bias towards her own equipment - favouring it over any bow and daggers from the High Evles.
“You are lucky,” her words were uttered, attention finally stolen from her weapons as she glanced up at the vampire that loomed over her. “—going on adventures. In all of my years I have not once laid eyes upon a dragon, nor even a Wyvern. There are so many places I should like to visit.”
“I am?” The concept was thoroughly considered. Perhaps the elf was right, that she was fortunate to experience the majesty of this world, its dangers, its delights, all in the brief time after her recent awakening.
“I’m sure that you have plenty of time. I’m curious, though. Was there something that was keeping you from doing what you want?”
❝—Adventures? ❞ ah, how lucky. Wybur wanted to travel around much more than she already was, but was stuck on the outskirts of Winterhold; continuing her studies. That was at least one thing she envied the vampire for. ❝ I’ve always wanted to explore. Though I don’t have the coin and nor do I the fighting ability to keep myself safe and well paid for. ❞
She may have only been awakened recently, but from her months of travels with the one blessed by Akatosh, it felt like a rarity to see someone be a committed student of the College. Everyone seemed to only visit for their lessons, adventuring when not in its premises; a wise choice, or so she finds it. “Then explore. Coin’s not that hard to get by, and since you’re Nordic, I’m sure a blade in your hand will feel quite natural.”
DRAPES herself over her lap and rolls around
Cringes and whines, with this heavy ass luggage over her smaller form and all. “Ugh. Why me..”
is currently very drunk & snuggles with the vampy B']
Mentally thanks Molag Bal for the fact that she has taken precaution in taking fire-resistant equipment this time, around the trigger happy half-breed. “Yes, uh.. This is all well and good, if you are an honest drunk, but this is strange.”
What is it like, to drink blood and to feed from humans?
“Exhilarating.”She responded honestly. There was no reason to hide it, even from a vampire hunter like Wybur.“The taste depends on the health and species of the source, but for the most part, it’s sweet. The flavour is.. Dulled down, when you drink from a thrall. Their very nature is changed into servitude, so much so that they can be.. Unsatisfying--But. I make do.”
BURNS HER FOR LEAVING HER FOR DEAD
Serana’s momentary and surprised shriek soon turned into an awkward series of chuckling.“A-Ah! My, you got cured that fast, did you?”
Have you ever thought that you're doing the WRONG thing by taking innocent lives?
“Do I? I only take lives when the Dragonborn and I are on a job. If you mean feeding, that particular friend is generous enough to give me an occasional refreshment. If not, then a thrall does the job. I should leave it to a young vampire hunter to assume that killing is an absolute necessity for a vampire.” Pale arms folded, her shrouded crown shaking from side to side as she clicked her tongue sarcastically.“Then again, with how close-minded Isran is most days, I’m not surprised that he doesn’t remind you about these things.”
❝ Barely. I know my share about vampires and their bloodlines. Do not be surprised if I know much more about you. ❞ If that didn’t give away the fact that she was one of the Dawnguard then she wouldn’t know what would, though Wybur did NOT want to compromise herself and put herself in danger. ❝ You are? That’s interesting. I’d not have expected that. ❞
“Of course you do.” The pureblood sarcastically and snidely swept the comment aside, purely for its ambiguous tone that could be considered threatening in a certain light. She may know her family, but Serana herself is still yet to be revealed to the stranger, a singular page in the midst of Hermeus Mora’s infinite library. But she didn’t expect a vampire hunter to even try to understand her plight. “Yes. Adventures are fun.”
❝Hardly a disappointment. I don’t imagine YOU of all vampires would need to be accompanied.❞ It was a strange feeling, being so close to the next in line to lead Volikhar. Hopefully it was to continue to be a civil conversation between them, as currently Wybur had nothing on her possession to defend herself. So for now they could remain at peace with each other, despite the blonde being part of the Dawnguards.
“The news is out, is it? I guess even the Dragonborn is subject to the urges of gossip.” And a civil conversation it will remain to be, so long as the half-breed kept those violent, ‘pest-ridding’ righteousness to herself. “No, I’m mostly the one doing the accompanying, these days.”

❝a vampire alone in the outskirts of Winterhold? Do you not think that a BAD idea?❞
“I suppose it’s normal for vampires to at least travel in two’s, if not trios. My sincerest apologies for this disappointment.”
