“S’not like anyone but terrorists were in that building anyway. The way I see it, you did us a favor. Questioning your superior, Riley? That there is enough reason to reprimand you.” A short laugh escapes him. “At ease. Even I’ve just been sitting here sipping coffee.”
“I’m pretty sure I question you ever time I set foot in this office,” he grinned, slumping into the nearest chair and crossing his feet up on the desk. “Course I did, I always have a back up plan. Soap you never just ‘sit and sip coffee’,” he grinned, blue eyes narrowing. “You always plot.”
“And why’s that? Don’t you trust me Ghost?” He quipped in a sarcastic tone. Their whole relationship was based off of a certain trust. John raised an unamused brow at the feet on his desk, but let it slide. He leaned in, a cheeky grin present in his own features. “You seem to know me better than I do myself. What could I possibly be plotting today, Ghost?”
His expression softened for a moment. "You know I trust you," he said before shrugging and relaxing back in the chair, a hand rising to rub his jaw. "How would I know? You always have some plan running at the back of your mind, unless your still narked that you can't beat me on the course," the soldier grinned.
