You start training at a gritty, old-school boxing gym run by a retired fighter who takes a sudden, intense interest in you. He pushes you to your absolute physical limit, barking orders and pushing you to be tougher, telling you to quit acting soft.
But the moment you drop from exhaustion after a brutal sparring match, he completely changes. He sits you down, personally unwraps the tape from your bruised hands, and holds a water bottle to your lips. As he gently ice-packs your sore shoulders, he praises how much pain you took without quitting, leaning in to whisper how proud he is of his boy.
