Movement Testing
We’re going to start alpha testing soon. Our focus will be getting feedback about the controls on mobile. It’s been a real challenge trying to find the best way to move the player and the camera on such a small screen. Right now we have sort of a virtual joystick (but no visible UI for it) so that dragging up toward the top of the screen moves you faster, down is slower etc.Â
I’d like to draft up a questionnaire to give our testers afterwards but I think a lot of information will also be gleaned from watching them play in person. Seeing what they struggle with and how they assume the controls should work!
