(i'm especially happy with this keyboard. the last split keyboard was from a kit that had all the pieces already, just stick them together. this one was purchased fully separately – the board and case, and then the keycaps and switches were cannibalized from old keyboards we weren't using.)

This was a sort-of appreciation piece for one of my favourite w.bg songs Cenotaph. Even today I think it's one of the songs that is just so explicitly Mike(y)(ael). Thanks for having me @woebegonefanzine !

my current fascination to read up to all day is locally hosted LLMs, the sorts of setting tweaks that those enable, and the uses that peoples have for them

not even necessarily to set anything up myself, just like. fascinated by what others are doing and what they say about it

(at the very least, it's a particular vibe that these folks speak with. like there's a snarky cynicism toward LLMs and their capacities, probably because you really butt up against limits with the smaller models, plus a natural distrust of the corporate-run models, but with an obvious center of "no yeah this technology is pretty neat to play with, and isn't exactly going to corrupt or destroy the world one way or the other". it's an oddly refreshing discourse.)

Representing my December reread, HOW DO I HANDLE IT!!!! One of my faves of all time genuinely. Where do I even start. I love everything about this work, I love Anne and Mike's relationship, I love the 2nd person perspective, I love the time loop energy of it all. I cannot recommend this fic enough, especially to all the Mikedgar Angst enthusiasts out there. Just be ready to cry your eyeballs out.
