ghost cyrus is technically always nude but he IS an eldritch entity so how much people perceive of that nudity is completely dependent on what the narrative Demands

he can be perceived as a buff shirtless man as an ominous sleep paralysis silhouette or as a disembodied voice that sounds suspiciously like a fax machine the range is infinite

what’s the one thing that would actually crack Cyrus’ composure if someone he cared about pushed the right emotional button, the pressure point he pretends doesn’t exist but absolutely does?

Being called out for acting irrationally.

Cyrus wants to project an image of someone who only makes the most efficient, calculated actions with no regard for sentimentality, but that's simply not realistic. He's a person like anyone else, who's perfectly capable of acting in a way that doesn't benefit himself or Team Galactic in any form other than making himself feel better.

In fact, as much as he doesn't want to admit it, he has a petty streak that's hard to let go of. Cyrus has been known to sabotage his own goals just to get the last laugh, even when the purely logical choice would be to endure a little bit of humiliation, rationalizing to himself that as a leader he has to be the one to assert his authority. The biggest example of that would be trapping himself in the Distortion World, purely to deny his enemies the satisfaction of saving him.

Even with Team Galactic effectively disbanded, it still really gets under his skin when people expose that he can't quite practice what he preaches.

Time Zero - Nullifies all speed changing effects

Absolute Space - Nullifies weathers, terrains and rooms

G Free - Every other Pokémon is placed under the effects of Telekinesis

Bringing this back to god Cyrus

His signature ability (which I totally made up), Time Zero, nullifies all speed control effects on the battlefield as long as he’s around (such as Tailwind, Trick Room and speed buffs/debuffs caused by moves and items)

In universe the ability is caused by him absorbing Dialga’s power into himself and using it to distort the flow of time in order to disrupt his opponents’ movements, effectively warping reality so that anyone close to him speeds up or slows down in the most inconvenient way by changing the amount of time it takes to cross a certain distance

Considering that he’s some entity made out of a gazillion wings he’s blisteringly fast (which is also his preferred fighting style), so this ability basically ensures he always moves first

Actually while I’m at it let’s yap about Cyrus

He has a really specific battle strategy that’s somewhat at odds with his presentation and it’s that he really likes speedy Pokémon

Despite his fixation with the permanence and quiet efficiency of machines, not only does he not actually have any mechanical Pokémon, but also every single Pokémon he’s associated with is known to be fast and aggressive instead of slow and defensive (the only one that isn’t FAST fast is Honchkrow and even then Murkrow is fast)

In fact in BDSP he doubles down on his preference for rushdown tactics with all of his Pokémon having speed boosting natures and even making use of the Quick Claw to grant himself priority

There’s something to be said about Cyrus considering himself a cautious, patient planner and yet having a battle style that’s the exact opposite of it, how it reflects how he views his Pokémon as tools to do the dirty work for him that he doesn’t want to do himself, and how his true nature is nowhere near as cautious and patient as he claims it is
