anyway the real question is would sollux play mono black or izzet.

mono black: huge doom player moment. bunch of dead shit (sollux is dead.) bunch of life payment and graveyard mechanics which seem exceedingly apt for him.

izzet: red/blue color scheme babeyyyyyyyyy. spellslingin! hes a psiionic. thats basically the same as like, lightning bolt. all of the duplicating spell mechanics. etc.

perhaps controversial opinion btw i have no clue what people still think abt this but the hs retcons r perhaps my favorite part of the whole webcomic tbh.

like u mean to tell me the love and anger and sorrow was so great it changed the past and the present and the future..... lol. there's several thousand pages of homestuck where all the dumb fucking overcomplicated worldbuilding of the fifty layers of universes and dream bubbles and doomed timelines are carefully set up and structured and made extremely important & narratively relevant+ then the silly goofy kid who thinks that a beaglepuss is the height of comedy & is made incarnation of lonely solitude + raw power just sticks his hand into the past and stirs it around like a goldfish pond because he misses his friends.
