🇺🇸 USA: Massive Dust Storm (Haboob) in Montana
🌬️ On the evening of May 13, a severe thunderstorm with powerful wind gusts of 70–80 mph (113–129 km/h) unleashed massive walls of dust and sand across central and northern Montana.
📸 Impressive dust storms (haboobs) were captured near Big Sandy, Fresno Reservoir, and north of Havre. Giant clouds of dust completely obscured visibility, turning daylight into darkness.
⚡️ Strong thunderstorms with extreme wind gusts lifted dry soil, creating a classic haboob — a moving wall of dust dozens of meters high.
🌡️ Such intense dust storms in Montana are becoming an increasingly noticeable sign of extreme weather linked to climate change — prolonged drought periods and drying soils.
