Can you believe it? The Song of Solomon: Original Concept Album has been out now for half a year! So much has happened since then:Â
Radio interviews with the creators, with Solomon (Ramin Karimloo), radio stations in London playing our songs, and a chance to open Song of Solomon in the Philippines. Â But shhh, we havenât announced that yet. Â Thatâs just for you to know...for now. Â To start pre-planning your possible trip to Manila. :) Â
We have reached so many people and have met so many fans. We would love to reach many more.
And that is why Song of Solomon: Original Concept Album is now available via Apple Music and Spotify. Tell all your friends!
If you want a hard copy, here is the link to Broadway Records where Song of Solomon: Original Concept Album can be ordered worldwide.
âSong of Solomon is a thrilling new musical â an epic love story. In ancient Israel, King Davidâs bloody wars are coming to an end, and the road is treacherous and uncertain for Israelâs future.
To avoid another war, Solomon is forced to marry foreign princesses, but one Israeli vineyard girl intoxicates the Kingâs heart, threatening his entire nation. She suddenly and mysteriously disappears. Song of Solomon is the Kingâs quest to find Almah while he struggles for peace, redemption and humanityâ.
With music composed by Andrew Beall this album tells a story of an ancient King which is not only easy to follow, but also enjoyable to listen too. The music feels playful and yet at times dangerous which works brilliantly well to help listeners build a solid image of an ancient Israel and their wise King. Â
This album has been created by an incredibly strong cast of voices and is led wonderfully by Alison Luff and Ramin Karimloo.
Together Luff and Karimloo perform a number of beautiful duets such as Falling with You and Light of the Moon, and their solos can only be described as breath-taking. In particular Luffâs solo, Alone, is simply beautiful.
Karimlooâs unique voice was without a doubt the perfect choice to bring King Solomon to life.
With Luff and Karimloo in the leading roles you know this album is going to be something special and I am so pleased to say that it was a pleasure to listen to.
If Song of Solomon even opens on Broadway it deserves another truly remarkable cast (just like this one) to bring this powerful score to packed auditoriums.

We hope so!
Iâm listening to the concept recording of Song of Solomon: A New Musical with Ramin Karimloo (for the first time) and Iâm really loving it. I need to see this on stage now. @solomonthemusicalblog, when you decide to take this to Broadway, Iâll be there. This is an absolutely stunning interpretation of the story, and in a way that I wasnât expecting.
â7 long years...â The number 7 is a great number for many different reasons. Having the Journey to Album Release finish on volume 7 makes it feel all so surreal.
With Broadway Con, the Album release, and a few interviews later we are just getting started.
Song of Solomon has been called Epic and Wonderful, and a Joy to listen to.
On March 5th Ramin Karimloo was interviewed by Sunday Show Tunes. They even played the track from the album called âFalling With Youâ.

Inside the Studio: Meet the Women of âSong of Solomonâ
âJourney to Album Release: Vol. 6âł
3/9/2017
After a wonderful International Womenâs Day we bring you towards the end of our Journey in the studio at Yellow Sound Lab and what better way than to introduce you to the Women of âSong of Solomonâ.
Shari Pessah, co-producer, and such a wonderful person to have in the studio.
The Mahlers, co-producers, have been a driving force for this album and had a wonderful time seeing magic happen in the studio.
Alessandra Baldacchino is the sweetest as Maya. She is now on the First Broadway National Tour of Fun Home and you can see how seriously she takes the work in the studio.
But thereâs always time for smiles with composer, Andrew Beall.
And with musical director, Jim Lowe.
Ali and Jim working out a part.
Jim Lowe is an amazing musical director and seeing him work with the actors and actresses was a wonder to behold. Even more so when he worked here with Alessandra Baldacchino.
Great shots of Ali!
What a proud mom!
I want you on my album!
Have you heard Leahâs desperate cry for her child? This is probably it. Get your album today!  Sung by the original Leah, Jessica Foster.
Nicole Renee Chapman originally premiered Act II in the role of Almah.
Melissa Mitchell, a brilliant high soprano, joined us from Broadwayâs Les Miserables.
Erin Clemons played the sultry and seductive Nadia. Another Les Miz gal, Erin can currently be seen on the Broadway National Tour of Beautiful. Â
Siri Howard, a solid veteran of Les Miserables, blew us away with her ability to be playful and intense at the same time.
Desi Oakley is ruthless as Dina.  But watch the video above and you would never know. Sheâs a dancing queen!
Jim Lowe is so stunned by the talent he gets to work with.
Inside the Studio: Meet the Men of âSong of Solomonâ
âJourney to Album Release: Vol. 5âł
2/20/2017
The album has been released. You can get it here, but we still have more of our Journey to share...
This album is so sweet and so powerful. In order to make it the best, we were able to bring in these men to execute all the amazing vocals needed for songs like âStand up Israelâ, âSong of Solomonâ, âBring in the Stonesâ. These are the men who brought those voices to life. We had a great time working with them and some of them have been involved with âSong of Solomonâ since itâs inception.
Jim Lowe looking on as the men prepare. You can see the dedication in his eyes.
Evan McCormack internalizing a moment, smiling, and then belting it out. He is the original Solomon.
The men have such concentration. Jason Forbach, Preston Yates, Adam Monley, Adam Bashian, Evan McCormack, Richie Abanes.
You always need someone making these faces. Adam Monley was a hoot to work with.
Top middle is Richie Abanes, the original Ruben. Preston Yates (left) got the job by auditioning for Phantom of the Opera. Jim Lowe was running those auditions, and hired Preston on the spot. Adam Bashian (right) can currently be seen on Broadway in âIn Transitâ.
Jason Forbach, a veteran of Les Miserables, brings his wealth of experience to the studio.
Some great studio shots.
As you can see, these men had a blast singing in the studio for the album. We all went out for tacos and beer afterwards. Matthias Winter (our engineer and mixer on the right) did not refuse after the day we gave him.
Stay tuned next month for the Women of âSong of Solomonâ...

âJourney to Album Release: Vol. 4âł
1/30/2017
On August 11th, 2016 you would probably be feeling tremors on East 5th street in downtown Manhattan. This wouldnât have been because of the construction down the street fixing some potholes, but because of three very powerful voices in the Yellow Sound Lab. When you bring Hayden Tee, Alex Gemginani, and Casey Manning in a room you get some really powerful voices together.
We were so lucky to have all three join us in the studio to belt out the tunes of âBring in the Stonesâ, âPalace Encountersâ, and more. You can see through these photos how their characters come alive through song.Â
Casey Manning, Matthias WInter, and Andrew Beall.
