Week 76, Monday, July 6, 2026 ⛰️
I’m making the final preparations for the graduation events while also trying to study more. I don’t think I’m having much success, but I’m giving it my best shot.
P.S.: This was the view I had today on my way to Pilates.
Week 75, Sunday, June 28, 2026 🎨
Friday was my last day of academic activities. What an emotional day! After six years of theory and practical classes, exams, assessments, presentations, internships, and various other commitments, it’s over. Actually, it was more than six years, since it included my pre-university prep course as well. It’s hard to believe. It marks the end of a chapter. I am so grateful to God for giving me everything I have and am, for allowing me to have these experiences and for sustaining me this far.
P.S.: The image on the right is from the Sebastião Salgado exhibition currently taking place in my city.
Week 75, Tuesday, June 23, 2026 🧪
I’m so tired; I feel like I’m just scraping by. I’m not getting enough sleep and have to handle a lot of things for graduation. I can’t manage to study, and that makes me even more frustrated. But it’s just a phase—it’ll pass.
Week 74, Monday, June 15, 2026 ⚗️
I've been doing a lot of things these past few days. With graduation approaching, I'm organizing several things related to the events.
Regarding preparing for the residency exams, I've never had so much to study.
In my internship, I'm in the Infectious Diseases outpatient clinic, which I have to go to in the mornings from Monday to Friday, making me very tired because I have to wake up very early and I have difficulty going to bed early.
On top of all that, next weekend I'll be a bridesmaid (for the third time in one year) at my cousin's wedding in another city. I'm very happy for the couple, and it's an honor and a privilege to be a bridesmaid. But it's still tiring.
Anyway, I know it's a phase and we have to make the most of each one because everything passes and what remains are the memories.
Week 73, Monday, June 08, 2026 🧫
With the holiday on Thursday, I managed to rest and catch up on my studies, at least part of them, because there's always something to study. I only got the whole holiday off because I went to my internship last weekend. Anyway, even after four days at home, I'm still sleepy.
At university, today I start my last rotation in the last internship of the last semester! I'm going to the Infectious Diseases outpatient clinic. At my teaching hospital, we have several studies on tropical diseases, which is very interesting because it's a regional reference for diagnosing these conditions.
Week 72, Monday, June 01, 2026 🥀
I'm handing out my graduation invitations to my guests, and it's been so cool and exciting to see people's reactions. I'm loving it.
I'm trying to do all of this: hand out invitations, go to my internship every day at 6 am, study for the medical residency exam, pray, sort out graduation things, get enough sleep each night, watch series, take courses and go to my internship on weekends, give attention to my family, and not freak out.
I confess I'm not managing very well; I'm not very good at multitasking.
Week 71, Monday, May 25, 2026 🌷
My study schedule got a little messed up because I took the ACLS course this weekend. I tried to balance studying for the residency exam with the course, but it still fell behind.
Anyway, we have to define our priorities for the moment. I was so happy when the results came out saying I passed the course. Another goal achieved!
Week 70, Sunday, May 17, 2026 🍎
I finished my second-to-last rotation, which was in Internal Medicine, and tomorrow I start my final medical school rotation, which will be in Infectious Diseases. How exciting!
It will be a longer rotation, and with studying for the residency exam, I'll probably be quite tired. But it's part of the job, what can I do...
Week 69, Monday, May 11, 2026 🚲
I'm staying focused on my studies, Pilates, and prayers. My internship has had a reduced workload these past few days, but the intense pace will return next week.
I still need to significantly improve my percentage of correct answers to pass the residency exam, and that's making me very anxious.
Week 68, Sunday, May 3, 2026 🍪
I didn't have my internship this past week. Coincidentally or not, I caught a cold and had to rest more. Despite that, I managed to study more by staying home and making my own schedule. It wasn't so bad in the end.
