Space....

So, I'm a pretty avid reader of Sci-Fi books. It's always great to read about the possibilities authors dream up, especially when said ideas are based on something that is scientifically realistic. A particular type of sci-fi literature, so-called, "hard" sci-fi, is based on technology and science that is actually possible or exists. There's no "magic" drive system or powerplant, just real things. It's so fun to read, because of the possibilities presented. Back to the topic at hand. The reason I mention this, is that between these books, forums and blogs on the subject of all things realistic in space, and of course, actual science and physics, you start wondering what's possible. Here, I want to discuss all things space. Mining, exploring, terra-forming, light-speed travel or FTL (Faster-Than-Light) travel, combat, etc, all explored and discussed here. So come, all ye space enthusiasts, you readers of real sci-fi, and let us educate, entertain, and show one another what we could accomplish if we truly reach for the stars, and grab on. ~Sol
