Claudia Appreciation Week: "The Unholy Family"
Interview with the Vampire (2022) | Interview with the Vampire, Anne Rice | The Vampire Lestat, Anne Rice
will graham is a deeply traumatised, antisocial alcoholic man. he met hannibal right before heading into his worst state of mind. hannibal did not “make will evil”. hannibal saw will and vice versa.
both hannibal and will had difficult childhoods and very obviously both have a plethora of personality disorders. they’re both extremely complex, layered people.
before meeting, i think it’s fair to say that both of them had accepted that they were alone in how they felt. that nobody would ever truly see them.
maybe this acceptance had brought some sort of weird, fucked up peace to them.
then, they met.
will had never been seen before. hannibal ha never been seen before. and yet they saw further into each other than either would’ve ever expected.
remember when i said they both had a plethora of problems? well being seen for the first time, it trigged something in both of them. Obsession.
they become truly, deeply obsessed with each other. the need to know every part of the other slowly filled their minds and replaced any rational thought about the situation.
over time, will became more and more situated with hannibal’s… hobbies and habits. will could see right past them if it meant having a person actually understand what’s happening in your mind.
hannibal was the trigger, yes, but will was the bullet to his own wound.
Countdown to the 10th anniversary of the Hannibal Series Finale (17) :
Hannibal 2X10 - Naka-Choko (air date : May 2nd, 2014)
Directed Vincenzo Natali by and written by Steve Lightfoot & Kai Yu Wu.
Fun fact : Luchino Visconti's Death in Venice (1971) and Bryan Fuller's Hannibal (2013-2015) both used Gustav Mahler's Adagietto from Symphony no. 5 (far from being the only ones of course) and they are also both set in Venice at some point (only during the first half of season three in Hannibal's case).

Ok now kith...
Hannibal + suit & coat
I have yet to stop thinking about Hannibal prolonging a moment of silent reverence when looking down on his naked husband loosely tangled up in his sheets. I have yet to stop thinking of him with a coffee in hand, walking over to the window and opening the curtains to get a better view of his love being so comfortable and vulnerable and beautiful there. I have yet to stop thinking about him sitting at Will's bedside and drawing his fingers over his hips as slowly and softly as he possibly can, letting it and the smell of his coffee wake him up in time. I have yet to stop thinking about the sleep-drunken look on Will's face as he finally stretches and opens his eyes to a look of complete devotion from Hannibal
Happy Pride! ❤️
