Man it’s days like this when I miss being primarily in ygo fandom

Even if I got mad a lot bc there was so much butchering and diluting of content from the manga to the original series to the 4kids dub, 4kids would’ve never played as dirty as the X-men 97 writers did

Maybe i need to just think of Yugi and Jonouchi’s friendship and nothing else

Like damn. At least when Yugi thought he was gonna die to save Jonouchi’s life he was allowed to say “I love you” and there was a lot of emphasis placed on this moment.

Even in a platonic way, we couldn’t have had Charles or Magnus do the same??????? Like….. it just makes me sad, man. Even if a lot of what Charles and Magnus did in that episode could largely be interpreted as saying “I love you,” I think viewers deserve better than having to become complacent with implications and subtext, because this is generally a nonissue when it comes to het pairings and relationships.

Also, while I'm still on this - Morph didn't even get a thank you for absolutely saving Logan's ass. Sabertooth and Deathstrike were ready to walk out and leave him, Morph had a plan, Morph convinced them to stop and go back.

What if...... What if Logan felt justified in lying to Morph, because he felt lied to by them first? Because of Morph's love confession, hidden behind Jean's face? Confusing his feelings for Jean and Morph even more, because somehow, either because he'd known all along or because someone told him, Logan knew what Morph said, but grew slightly resentful because of how Morph chose to say it, and the fact that they never brought it up again?

Either way I still don't think Logan was justified at all here, but.......... what if.........

idk... Barry' Windsor-Smith's art fascinates me. Theres this... consistent inconsistency in everything he does. Like I can tell its his work, his art is very unique, but his style changes in subtle ways constantly? It's like I'm viewing someone's reflection in the water and someone keeps tossing stones nearby.
