me in my head: ai is very useful for certain things but it is also very harmful for many others (and also annoying a lot of the time) and it's also bad for the environment too
me @ work: my team is being made to work on ai stuff now even tho the team isnt even related to ai really, they have their own product theyre responsible for already, this is horrible
me @ work, a few weeks later: this stuff im learning about *is* interesting tho tbh, and the area is so new that we're kinda making it up as we go along which is kinda exciting, and this is an opportunity to learn about a new area that most other developers at Company probably won't have (but working on it requires prompting copilot sooo many times because a) that's what we're working on and b) copilot dumb, which will be warming up a river somewhere outside a datacentre right now (and also what we're working on is supposed to make developers lives easier but it's literally faster to go to the site in question and do the thing than ask copilot to do the thing for you because it takes so long to PROCESS and did i mention the rivers and the datacentres)
me after scrolling tumblr for 1 minute and being reminded why ai bad: yeahhhhh ai bad, i agree, ive agreed the whole time </3
