Angry Gamers (capitol G) will look at a new trailer, invent a way cooler and more epic version of it, and then think that cooler and more epic version is Bad, somehow
New female GTA protagonist is being described as "looking like a tranny and fat"
As in
This character:
She literally is not. Would be way cooler if she was though
Ciri is "too masculine" in the new Witcher trailer.
Ciri.
In this trailer:
This is literally just a cis woman. Would be based as fuck if they fucked with that a bit.
Man imagine a GTA where you play as a trans woman sex worker forced into increasingly dangerous situations, surviving and slowly thriving through crimes and heists of escalating stakes, slowly overcoming and eventually overthrowing those who wronged you in both the justice system and the criminal underworld
Maybe game studios should have one of these Gamers on their team to torture. The angrier this Gamer gets the further the rest of the team pushes. If this Gamer is violent with rage by the end of a brainstorming session it's considered successful.
They could keep him in a little terrarium

I cannot stop laughing at the idea that socialism ignores humanityâs highest spiritual ideal: owning yachts.
#did he actually fucking say this
It appears to be accurate, yes. This quote can be found on WikiQuote sourced to a 2001 book of Reagan âwisdomâ edited by prominent republican writers and economists, some of whom were directly involved with him and his administration.
In fact, the context around this quote makes it even worse. He brings it up to sum up the point made in a discussion between a socialist and a capitalist, in which the capitalist keeps trying to score obnoxious points on the socialist as she argues for a better world, and then gets smug about âwinningâ the argument when she walks off.
Ronald Reagan loved to tell stories. Sometimes he used them to break the ice, or to prove a point, but very often he used them to inspire, t

Weekly crowdfunding milestone post! Week 5!
As I've gone over my car is kind of fucked right now and not drivable or repairable at the price I can afford. I'm fundraising for a month's transit costs roughly, the expense of the tows/"repair"/first week of ubers, and for some of the down-payment. Ubers on my commute average $25-30, and I have a little saved for the down-payment. For this week the goal is $250 at least, as well as ideally the unmet goal from previous weeks. I'm making weekly posts in hopes that this will encourage donations. Unfortunately still no ability to do a manor update yet, though I can say the sim card thing I mentioned a bit ago hasn't cost me money yet, but will be costing me 100$ in a week or so.
Unmet goal from previous weeks: 370
Combined goal of previous weeks and this week: 620

Dude btw as someone who actively listens to both if you can confidently step up and imply METAL is LESS OVERSTIMULATING than RAP you are ON CRACK! I can't even continue this post because of how baffled I am that anyone would suggest such a thing. ??!?!!?!?!?!!?!?!Like only shows just how much you do not fucking know what you're talking about. How are you people real
White people will listen to tinnitus inducing hyperpop and breakcore and metal with lyrics about ripping people apart and eating them or something but one 808 and a single swear word out of a black person's mouth will reduce them to dust #what

Do not ever take something out of someone else's hands without asking.
There are some exceptions, such as dire emergencies where someone's life or safety are on the line, such as you have a toddler who just grabbed a fork and is seconds away from sticking said fork into an electrical socket.
But otherwise, if someone has something in their hands that we want or need, or even something that we would rather they don't handle, we should use our words first before we just grab it from their hands.
The example of someone grabbing a fork from a toddler before they stick it in an electrical socket is exactly why it's so rude to do this to people who are old enough to be reasoned with using words. It is infantalizing to just grab something from someone's hands, and strips them of autonomy. It's as if you are reducing them to a naughty toddler who can't be reasoned with using words.
It also follows a general pattern of using words being more considerate than using physical force (such as saying excuse me instead of just shoving someone aside). Nobody likes feeling like their physical boundaries have been crossed, and people usually don't like it when someone uses physical force to get their way instead of just using words.
So if your co-worker is holding that pen or marker that you need to use, you ask them to give it to you instead of just pulling it from their hand.
Or maybe you're working on a group project with a classmate, and they open up and start going through a book that you already told them there's no relevant information in it. Instead of pulling the book out of their hand and closing it, maybe just politely repeat yourself in case they didn't hear you the first time, but just pulling the book out of their hands would be rude and infantalizing.
This way you are respecting other people's personal boundaries and their physical autonomy.
Introduction of Sharon Patricia Holland's The Erotic Life of Racism

Image #1: A few days after Tupac Shakurâs death in 1996, I pulled into a Safeway park- ing lot in Palo Alto, California, with my friendâs fifteen-year-old daughter, Danielle. We were listening to one of Shakurâs songs on the radio; because he was a hometown boy, the stations were playing his music around the clock-a kind of electromagnetic vigil, if you will. An older (but not elderly) woman with a grocery cart came to the driverâs side of my car and asked me to move my vehicle so that she could unload her groceries. The tone of her voice assumed fruition-it was not only a request but a demand that would surely be met. The Southerner in me would have been happy to help; the critic in me didnât understand why she simply couldnât put her groceries in on the other side where there were no other cars or potential impediments. I told the woman that I would gladly wait in my car until she unloaded her groceriesâthat way, there would be plenty of room for her to maneuver.
Image #2: While she did this, I continued to listen to Shakurâs music and talk with Danielle. We were âbonding,â and I was glad that she was talking to me about how Shakurâs death was affecting her and her classmates. When I noticed that the woman had completed her unloading, I got out and we walked behind her car toward the Safeway. What happened next has stayed with me as one of the defining moments of my life in Northern California. As we passed the right rear bumper of her car, she said with mustered indignation, âAnd to think I marched for you!â I was stunned at first- when something like this happens to you, you see the whole event in slow motion. I recovered and decided that I had two options: to walk away without a word or to confront the accusation-to model for Danielle how to handle with a modicum of grace what would surely be part of the fabric of her life as a black woman in the United States. I turned to the woman and said, âYou didnât march for me, you marched for yourselfâand if you donât know that, I canât help you.â
When average people participate in racist acts, they demonstrate a pro- found misreading of the subjects they encounter. The scene related above dramatizes a host of racialized relations: the expectation that black women will cease a connection with their own families in order to respond to the needs of white persons; the comprehension of a refusal to do so as a criminal act; the need to subject black bodies to the rule of race; and the absolute denial of the connection between seemingly disparate peoples that the phrase âcivil rights marchâ connotes. For that woman in the parking lot, the civil rights struggle was not about freedom for us all, it was about acquiring a kind of purchase on black life. I would be given the right
to participate in âdemocratic processâ but the ability to exercise the autonomy inherent in such a right would be looked upon with disdain and, at times, outrage.
Image #3: The scene from the parking lot stays with me as if the woman and I were locked in a past that has tremendous purchase on my present. In my mind, we hover there touching one another with the lie of difference and non- relation balancing precariously between us-like the characters Rosa and Clytie at war on the dilapidated staircase in William Faulknerâs Absalom, Absalom!, a scene I explicate at some length in the conclusion of this book. The psychic violation of that moment in the parking lot haunts me still;
Image #4: but it is the intimacy of that moment that arrests me. That woman expected something from me-one usually does not expect anything from strangers. Moreover, our connection as women, tenuous though it might have been, was completely obscured, if not obliterated, by this racist act. It was then that I began to think about âraceâ under the auspices of racism, the thing that according to the epigraph for this chapter âendures.â

antiracism is a constant process. i was raised in a racist village and it's not easy to get rid of it. i moved away over 10 years ago but those ideas are still haunting me.
also keep in mind that shame + guilt are not conducive to growing as a person. when it comes to "checking yourself" it should be a non-judgemental process. it's not about flagellating yourself for every bad thought or trying to purify your mind of all corruption. it's only when acknowledging your own racist thoughts doesn't fill you with dread that you can really progress past the white guilt of it all.
radical self-acceptance & genuine self-critique are not opposites. they need each other. do not let obsessive-compulsive behaviors colonize your desire to grow as a person.

Some of you really will beg and scream and cry for more vulnerable and messy queer art, watch an extremely messy and vulnerable piece of queer media made by queer person who has been open about the way their art is influenced by their own experiences, and then find every single reason in the world to deem it the worst thing to happen to queer representation in your lifetime.
Have you ever once considered that maybe the artist is representing a part of themself instead of painting a portrait of you?
i think stratt should have a wife. not for any particular reason other then having her wife divorce her during the events of the book
i just think it would be funny if in the middle of an arguement with her taskforce leaders shes like âiâm sorry, i overreacted. my wife is divorcing meâ
and in several order, grace is like
1. wow holy shit she said sorry
2. SHE HAS A WIFE?
3. AND IS GETTING DIVORCED?
*quickly double checks the calendar *
4. DURING PRIDE MONTH????
