Yet they all seemed to vanish as I looked at him. 

His hand reaching the small of my back as he led me through the dance. 

My dress swishing at my feet as he twirled me around. 

Did he know that I was so in love with him to the point that it hurts? I know deep in my heart that this man will never love me. 

Please, just let me hold onto this moment for a little longer. 

His eyes look beyond me. 

They always look next to me, above me or over me. 

Just never at me.
