My name is beang (not really) and I use they/he pronouns !

I'm using this side blog as a writing blog to rant and rave about the fandoms I'm in and write for (mainly bsd and whatever my other hyperfixations are atm)!

Okkkkk can we PLEASE talk about poe?????????????? Not about the fact that he secluded himself for 6 years or his problem of feeling inferior to others bc that's already talked about(not nearly enough but i still saw some vids abt it), NO i want to talk about how NOBODY seems to realize poes really smart?????????

Poe is smart, not as smart as ranpo obviously but he was one of the few people ranpo complemented about their intelligence.(in the good way)

Poes intelligence focuses on the deductive abilities like ranpo since he was a detective before he joined the guild. Ranpo himself told poe that THAT was the FIRST and LAST time he got chills from a detective

That, in fact, means that poe could be smarter than ranpos parents(not sure abt this tho) and his detective skills are higher than DAZAIS since he's the second smartest person in the ada

And for explanation on why he didn't help ranpo with the perfect crime case is because first: he has an inferiority complex to ranpo and currently sees him as way better than him(probably??) And is discouraged to even try now , and second: he was isolated for 6 years and probably quit being a detective and you can't just regain your detective abilities in an instant again after 6 years of not being one, his detective skills probably shrinked ATLEAST a little bit

I would argue that Ranpo doesn't really see Dazai as a detective, knowing how much he probably does about his past, and given that Dazai is intelligent in a different way than Ranpo (planning vs. deduction), so I don't think Poe is necessarily smarter than him. But easy agree on everything else! Poe is A) insanely smart and B) a little bit insane and I wish people would stop characterizing him as otherwise.

Poe is smart. Poe is smart. Poe is not DUMBER than Ranpo. Poe is SLOWER than Ranpo. Poe is considerably smart. if you put Poe and Ranpo on a case, they would both end up with the same answer. both doing it at a rather fast pace just Ranpo faster. Poe is not dumb. Poe is still an intelligent man. Poe is scared of the ADA because he almost killed them but wishes to be with ok with them now. Poe is NOT afraid of people as a whole. Poe DOES loose confidence around Ranpo. Poe was the third highest at the guild. Poe is smart. Poe is stealthy. Poe has been able to avoid being found by the government.
