Touch of Lies (WIP)

As a child, growing up in the slums of Hvinir without any guardians, you believed you would not live to see 30. Until Haven, a thief guild, took you in and taught you how to survive. Facing hardships, the guild leader tasks you to sneak into the castle with the mission to take.

Will you get caught? Will you get the honor of learning secrets behind the royal family? Will you successfully solve a murder?

Your childhood friend. [F/M] They met you while you were a starving child with no place to call home and swore to anyone who asked them that they hated you—as much as a little kid could. Though those moments turned to memories that have now changed into something child them would not even dare to think. They are always by your side and will stay there, unless you do something their moral code disagrees with… Tropes: Childhood friends to lovers, everyone can see it.

The snobby royal. [F/M] A royal you’ve only heard rumors about. The first thing everyone you meet tells you is they don’t care for the throne and are as spoiled as they come. It isn’t until you meet them that you find yourself agreeing with them. Tropes: Enemies to lovers or strangers to lovers, love-triangle (with L).

The flirtatious heir. [F/M] One thing you will notice right away is their constant flirting. Even when not trying to, their voice always carries a certain tone that makes your cheeks heat up without intending to. They are reckless and teasing, never taking anything seriously. (if your character is the same sex) L always thought they were straight. They flirted with the opposite sex and never look at the other. When you came along, it forced them to try to dig deep and understand why they are feeling the way they do for you. Tropes: Friends with benefits to lovers or mutual pining, love triangle (with E).

The sweet noble friend. [F/M] Friends with both the royals from a young age, they are always lurking around the castle. They are a gentle soul who help you anyway they can, a person you would consider a friend. Even though you’re lying to them about who you are, they trust you unconditionally. Tropes: Friends to lovers, they loved you first.

The playful knight. [F/M] Leading their own unit of knights, they are the image of maturity and intimidation. You should do your best to stay away from them. Though every time you pass by, they always find themselves following you with the hopes of becoming friends. Tropes: Strangers to lovers, age gap (though not that large).

The mysterious servant. [F/M] The only person who knows who you are and what you’re here to do. They are the ones who help you sneak in. Even though they want nothing to do with it, they teach you how you should act so as not to get caught. Tropes: Defrosting the ice queen, is it all as it seems?

My heart! My soul! This seriously made me so so SO sad 😭😢💔 I love this IF, it was one of my favourites. Can you please not delete it at least so that I can still replay it from time to time? 🥺😭 the ROs were all so amazingbbut M had a special place in my heart. Best friends to lovers is one of my favourite tropes. The story was intriguing, I couldn't wait to find out more! for every flaw you listed/saw, I saw an incredible story in the making 😭

In any case, I understand if you no longer want to continue with the story. If you do not feel connected or interested in the story anymore, it is unfair from everyone to expect you to continue with something you do not enjoy only because we did. This was a WIP after all and things were bound to get changed, altered and even cancelled so it was to be expected but it still made me kind of sad. We were just lucky that you decided to share it with us 🥹 thank you for all your hard work and the amazing characters and world you have created ❤️ and thank you for sharing your talent with the world. 🥹 I wish you all the best with whatever you decide to do next and I hope you do not give up on writing entirely because you truly are an incredible writer and I would love to read more from you! 🥰 Have an amazing rest of the day/night and again, thank you for sharing your incredible story with us 🥹❤️

NOOOO ITS ABANDONED? THIS IS WORTH CRYING OVER THIS WAS SO GOOD, I WAS INVESTED

It is, I'm sorry. 😭

This IF is just too embarrassing for me to come back to, sorry to all the people who actually enjoyed it.

I could literally go on for days about how BAD it is, from a technical stand-point.

Examples: - I started this IF with paragraphs upon paragraphs of useless and boring descriptions of the walls surrounding a castle. - There is so much dialogue! Most useless and annoying. - The way I introduced the characters was wayyy too fast and too confusing. I literally threw the names at you and hoped they would stick. - Also, the story isn't even finished being planned out. I just started writing and hoped it would lead somewhere good. - The story is also sooooo dramatized for no reason. In what I actually HAD planned, it was just for shock factor and not for anything comprehensible.

So, these are mostly the reasons why I don't want to come back to this IF. But, you never know. Maybe when I get better at writing and when I finish my other IF, I might actually scrap what I have and write it better.

Hi! It is me again, the person who has a soon-to-be dead child-in-law and now a grounded sister. Fun fact: My sister explained why we were all calling her Justina, and now she is grounded. Don't worry, my sister laughed about it honestly, and it is only for three days, but that doesn't stop my sister from making me drop off love letters to her partner (who lives a block away).

Micah/Mia: They would idle around in the corner, watching the whole thing unfold with a hidden smile on their lips, only butting in when you need help. They don’t really deal much of the punishment, because you always seem to get there first, but when it's their turn, they think about what you would do and do that.

Elwin/Elaine: They would roll their eyes and tell their child to go to their room, their whining won’t change the rules. When the child leaves, they would laugh about it with you, trying to make this a memory they won’t ever forget.

Leofric/Leona: They aren’t one to ground their children, they would only ever do it if you forced them. To be honest, they would react the same as their child, whining about needing to ground them, promising that they’ve already learnt their lesson. They would need to do some very very serious in order for them to feel confident about grounding the child.

Hann/Hanna: They would try to keep a straight face, but soon enough, they’d be laughing with the child. They will agree to the time you set for the child and even if they’re laughing now, that doesn’t mean they still aren’t slightly disappointed they didn’t follow the rules.

Justus/Justina: They ground their children whenever they break any of the rules they set for them and they feel confident about it. If their child is whining about the punishment, they would squint at their child, raising a brow. “If you keep acting like this, you’re going to say grounded for a whole lot longer.” They don't mess around when it comes to punishment!

I wanted to share it because I didn’t have the patience to hide it any longer. I was planning to release this intro post when I finished the prologue, but then I had to rewrite most of it and now I’m back to the beginning. 😞

How would the ROs react to a fake-out make-out? Especially to an MC who is a hundred percent in love with said RO.

Micah/Mia would be way too shy to kiss you back, but they definitely will try. Just don’t expect the best kiss in the world, because you caught them off guard. When you pull away they would give you a dumb smile, their face all reddened and their heart pumping so hard they fear people across the room can hear it.

Elwin/Elaine, if they understand the situation, they would kiss in a way that they can savior the moment. Slow and tender, but very messy and overwhelming if your MC is shy. This would definitely be something that would leave you breathless, babe…

Leofric/Leona would immediately forget why they are kissing you the moment your lips touch theirs. They would snap, and go ham. By the end of it all, you’d be the one left heaving against the wall, wondering why you were kissing them in the first place.

Saryn/Saralyn would freeze, letting you lead the kiss. They’ll try to follow, but not so well. In their head this would be the most overwhelming moment for them, which would end way too quick. The next few days they’ll be thinking about it nonstop.

Hann/Hanna would focus more on the person they are trying to hide from. In all honesty, they would be very shocked the moment you kiss them, probably thinking there could have been another way, but that doesn’t mean they won’t enjoy it! When they notice the both of you are safe, they’ll continue the kiss just a little bit more before breaking it off.

Justus/Justina would jerk back automatically, but when they notice the fear and worry in your eyes, they’ll sigh and lean in. The kiss would be very slow, hesitant almost, but if anyone saw you, they would understand that it was a very intimate moment between two souls.

"You really need to work on your pirate talk," she continues, "as me second-in-command was saying, we want that booty of ye's!"

"Yeah and we want the gold!"

"Ace. Booty means gold, what did you think it meant?"

"Oh, um. Sorry. Yes, give us the booty. Please."

Seeing my past writing makes me wanna hurl up in a ball, but I agree that this is a very very cute scene!

I love writing children because they are just soo innocent and adorable.

At first I was a little confused, because it worked fine on my side, but I found out that this happened because I forgot to add the prince/princess variable for the gender option later in the game.

How would the ROs react if the MC was having twins? This is of course deep into a relationship

I am so sorry this took so long for me to write, idk why I was just not feeling babies at the time. 💀 _____________________________ Micah/Mia would faint. Straight up, they would just faint, but from an overwhelming sense of joy! When they wake up and see you holding two angels in your arms, they would faint again. When they finally feel strong enough, they would start tearing up at the sight.

Elwin/Elaine would not be able to comprehend. Every moment they would have to spend changing their cloths and hearing double cries at night would fill their head. They would be very much flabbergasted and scared, very scared.

Leofric/Leona would start laughing, shocked this is possible. In the beginning they would say this is a joke, a prank you did to get back at them for all their horseplay. Though when both the midwife and you give them a death glare, they would understand that this is not a joke, because why would it be?

Saryn/Saralyn would scream, immediately apologizing to you and the poor midwife, staring at the two pairs of tiny closed eyes. They would, in fact, be very happy. The thought of two babies giggling and calling them dada/mama would send them over the edge.

Hann/Hanna would not even notice because they would be too focused on calming you. They would hold your hand and whisper calming things in your ear, every once in a while kissing the top of your sweaty head. When they actually realize it, they would still for a moment before nervously chuckling, already imagining the future.

Justus/Justina would suddenly become the dumbest person on the planet. They would ask the midwife how that would ever be possible and how there are two babies stuffed inside of you. They would not understand it no matter how hard anyone tries to explain it to them, but don’t worry, when they get over this, they would smile at the two babies before attending to you.

My little sister just got a partner and they came over to the house for a cook out. My mom, being over protective almost scared the poor child to death. So I have to ask, which ROs as parents would try to get along and who would put the fear into the love interest to their child?

Though, they would try their best to be the fun parent who accepts their child’s love interest, but if they get a little too comfortable, they are going to get a good talking to.

Elwin/Elaine would immediately despise anyone who would want to date their child. They wouldn’t even be subtle about it. When their child’s partner comes over, they would send insults flying until they feel the need to leave or until you kick their assess out.

Leofric/Leona would be overjoyed. They would use this to their advantage and teach their child flirting strategies and how to actually get the person you like to like you back (or in this case, how to keep the person you like).

Saryn/Saralyn would be sweet and kind to the child, finding this whole thing adorable, always shedding a slight tear at the cuteness infant of them. If it was a model setting, they would whip out their camera and start taking photos of the two cuties together.

Hann/Hanna would be the parent to test their child’s partner before they would allow them in their house. If they fail the test, they do not have the permission to enter the house or date their child and if they pass the test, they would open their arms to them like they would anyone else.

Justus/Justina would be the absolute strictest parent. They would not let their child’s partner into the house, ever. Well, if you convince them to calm their tits they might, but they won’t enjoy it, always subtly throwing shade to the poor thing.

After everything in the story has worked itself out, their reaction to MC showing them a ship and with a smile asking "Wanna sail away with me? For a while at least?"

This ask is so freaking cute are you kidding me?? Why does this make my heart so happy?? ________________________________________________

You stare into the unending ocean far in the distance, minding how the water in the horizon blends with the sky above it. The waves oscillate lazily, ships that rest in them swaying ever so gently.

Your arms rest on the white stone of the temple’s belfry. The memories of what was swim in the back of your head, a familiar feeling of remembrance surging in your heart.

“You alright there?” Mia whispers beside you, her pale eyes filled with innocence and sincerity. A gentle breeze hits you and her hair flies out of her face. Every moment filled with anguish, bliss, rage or numbness up to this point no longer matters. You’re with her and she’s with you. She’s always with you, by your side.

The thought warms your chest. You give her a nod, too entranced to say any more. She nods back, a tender smile on her face as she enjoys the second.

"That's exactly why it's so scary. You don't even know anything about it."

"Well, we can both explore and find out! Then, maybe you won't be so scared anymore."

“Mia?” you start slowly, watching how she turns her head back around to face you, a curious shine in her eyes. “Wanna sail away with me? For a little while at least?"

How would the RO’s react if they forgot the MC’s birthday?

Micah/Mia would not forgive themselves, ever. They would mope around, but never telling you why they are so sad when you ask. They will give you something the next day, still with tears in their eyes that they forgot your birthday.

Elwin/Elaine would try to play it off and pretend that it isn’t a big deal, but inside, they are hurting a little bit. They will buy you the biggest, richest, most expensive necklace, ring, throne, castle, anything in the world so that they can actually forgive themselves for this.

Leofric/Leona would laugh it off and say they did not in fact forget your birthday. They would run off and make a last second present to give to you in hopes you could be distracted by how ugly it looks to not realize why it looks so.

Saryn/Saralyn would feel horrible and would try to make it up in the next days to come. They would give you gifts and lovin’ every day for a week straight, always apologizing that they missed your birthday.

Hann/Hanna would be honest and come up to you to say that they forgot your birthday. They would act all tough, but inside they are burning with guilt. Hopefully you forgive them…

Justus/Justina would get to the bottom of why exactly they forgot your birthday. Were they too busy with work? Were they distracted by someone else? Then, they would write up reminders everywhere so they would not forget your birthday ever again.

Here's an NSFW scenario ask please. The ro's and mc are having 'fun' In bed when suddenly their kid comes in. How do they react?

Micah/Mia would scream and pull the blanket over the two of you, urging the child to leave before they see something they would regret. After the child leaves, they would cry (jokingly, but not really) into your shoulder about how embarrassing that was.

Elwin/Elaine would instinctively yell at the child to get the fuck out, absolutely terrifying the child into running out the room. After that, they would apologize to their poor baby into scaring them…

Leofric/Leona would try to pretend that you were not doing anything naughty. They would act like you were hugging…very hard…and naked…They would hope the child doesn’t ask too many questions.

Saryn/Saralyn would accidentally push both of you off the bed, then order the child to leave and lock the door. Sadly, sexy time would immediately end after that.

Hann/Hanna would cover you and pretend you were never in the room. They would coax the child into leaving after a while of back and forth, finally letting you breath under the blankets.

Justus/Justina would first, get rid of the child, then, lecture you about locking doors. From now on, every time you try to get into bed with them, they would stand up and check the doors to make sure you locked it properly even if you say you did.

Elaine’s shouts are heard in the distance, echoing through the large halls as Leofric and Manny run from the crime scene. Giggles and chuckles, the only sound the servants walking past can hear.

“Next time, let’s fill it with flour!” Manny struggles to say, covering her mouth with her tiny chubby hands to stop the flow of chortles.

“A good jokester never repeats his pranks, so we’re gonna have to come up with something new, darling,” Leofric says, a fond smile finding its way on his face.

Determination glazes over Manny’s eyes, all of a sudden the smile from her face drops and her brows squish together with unrelenting concentration. “You’re right..” she mumbles, pinching and pulling at her bottom lip.

“How about we poke a hole—“

“No!” Manny quickly interrupts. “I’m going to come up with this one!”

“Go ahead, then. It’s all yours,” Leofric says, tilting his head down at her.

“How about we poke a hole in one of Elaine’s glasses so that when she drinks it, the wine pours out!” Manny shouts, hopping from one foot to another with a radiant grin she doesn’t try to keep down.

“Wonderful idea!”

“Leofric, Manny! Elaine told me you’ve been goofing around.” Your voice is heard not too far from where they stand.

“Run!” Leofric yelps, softly tugging Manny to go. Once again, the unending song of laughter fills the halls.
