When your linemate is scared of thunderstorms…
Decided to try practicing with more midtones and atmosphere that isn’t high contrast neon nights. I also felt a rougher, more unrefined style would work better too. Originally I thought I would go for high contrast and clean but… nah.

Cutman blinks a little confused by the Wily bot’s question. “I am pretty sure that, yes, in theory you can,” he responds after giving it a little thought. “You are actually excellent proof for that. While I do believe Dr. Wily being a vile person, you do clearly show nonviolent intent.” Unless this is all an elaborate scam to jump him when he is unattentive, that sneaky snake Cutman thinks but keeps it to himself. He really does want to believe that this Snakeman is not his enemy.

Deep sigh. Star had been lucky to catch a break, his operated attraction currently being changed location to make space for a new one. While he could’ve worked another one in the meantime, the teacups still remained his favorite and it was difficult for him to part with them.
‘‘I suppose it’s the same on your end, with work?”
“Absolutely,” the Lightbot agreed “The human coworkers I have are speaking of an “all time high in lumbering”. Although I have to say that I have seen worse.”
It was already time to prepare the main lumbering season which was around christmas, for obvious reasons. Cutman knew the hype and understood why this holiday was so beloved by so many. But to cut it short, to him it was just an impressive pile of tons of work.

“I have to agree on that, Mr. Snake,” Cutman replies, now genuinely returning the smile. “I have heard mostly bad things about Wily bots in general, but also some good things. I must admit. I suppose not all Wily bots are false snakes.”
SnakeMan silently looks at him for a few moments and then bows his head to one side, grinning. “Yeah, maybe. But…what good things have you heard about us?” Snake smiles and looks at CutMan with interest.
“Well...” the Light bot begins, struggling to remember concrete examples. “I have heard that some Wily bots are actually doing a good job at maintaining an amusement park! And most of you seem to be very efficient at what you were cut out for.” He skips the fact that a lot of that was for malicious intent but that does not harm the fact that Dr. Wily is still a genius when it comes to robotics. “Most DWNs are top notch crafts,” he says with a nervous smile.

Fairly certain that he is about to become “prey” Cutman prepares to attack the nearest Search Snake. Before he gets a chance to do so however Snakeman himself took off towards him with sudden speed and before Cutman can lock on to him properly he changes his track swiftly to get hold of the Lightbot in a… hug? Cutman freezes instantly, only able to ask “What are you doing?”
Snake continues to hug CutMan and then he giggles and takes a few steps back. SnakeMan looks at Cut and smiles, but then he crosses arms over his chest. He looks offended. “I think you should be familiar with what I did. I just hugged you. What’s wrong?” Snake blinks and smiles again.

Are all LightBots like him? “It is certainly good that you’re so careful and attentive. But do you really think that all, absolutely all WilyBots are evil and will try to kill you? Maybe it is true. But among us there are so-called ‘good robots’. Besides, I see no reason to be enemies.” He again looks at CutMan and smiles.
