The breath left her chest heaving, she couldn’t see entirely straight and her limbs shook fiercely. “If we don’t try, someone’s going to die here.” More than likely a whole lot of someones. “We have to protect these people.”

“Okay well, that's not helping." Lydia sighed. "Listen.. we've got to start working together on this or we'll never have a real shot at pulling through.. What do you say? You in or out.” Lydia said offering both hands, palms facing up to her newly acquainted friend.
“I must have made a wrong turn somewhere down the line,” Lydia spoke quietly into her steam-roasted coffee, the styrofoam cup now gently cradled in both hands as she wandered aimlessly down the alleyways with a set of wide and curious eyes. None of the houses looked even remotely familiar as she continued on further down the rocky paths, but strangely enough it wasn’t like the usual times where she’d gone and got caught walking off track. There wasn’t a bad feeling churning in her gut that a dead body was near and most all of the whispers from the spiritual realm had been since ceased. It was a nice calm and relaxing outing to get her mind off everything that’d happened lately, but apparently she wasn’t going to be able to enjoy it for much longer considering the fact she’d gone and gotten herself lost on the Isle. The gentle breeze caught her strawberry blonde hair and whisked it around wildly enough to stir up a copious scent of lavender. If worse came to worse Lydia could always call Stiles for a ride home and get the buddy system lecture for being out so late on foot in a strange new place, but it wouldn’t be so bad once she explained that her car had broke down. Stiles had know late night drives was the most efficient way to clear her preoccupied thoughts and it turns out a walk had been the closest substitute, plus she’d add in that she didn’t want to disturb him so close to his midterms just to go out and take one.
