Here are more comics I love and need people to consider trying! These ones are all physical books, though a couple are also webcomics~
Devils candy is like what if lonely kid with too much brain and also heart wanted family he could count on, so he makes a friend..sister…thing…. And she just wants violence mostly (but she grows a lot if you keep reading between those violent lines). This one can be read for free on hivecomics
Black star is a sci-fi, stranded on a planet after ship wreck story. Very complicated characters. There is implied past romance between the main characters (who are women). They are fighting for their lives and might just kill someone.. maybe already have..
If you want something. Weird as fuck. But at the same time so so casual with themes of trying to live through the heartache of feeling like a failure, then you’ll probably vibe. There’s also a lot of punching and violence. Which I like.
This one is very cute. Rainbow didn’t seem that exciting to me at first lack of physical violence and all but if you stick with it the main characters story about getting out of her head and realizing things aren’t actually what she wishes they were with her mom is really good. It’s also wlw and a webcomic that’s free to read
Anyone remember how Oikawa had an ex-girlfriend we never got to see or hear about..? What if her name was Akka, and you were there to be something new…
It’s probably her eyes that you notice first, almost hostile with how unwavering her stare is. You muster up the courage to talk to her and suddenly, with a single word from her, you fall totally head over heels. It’s crazy. Heart thumping whenever you’re near her, stuttering, something something etc.
She’s ready for a relationship with someone new and who can be more dedicated to her then Oikawa was. So, lucky you! You get the girl of your dreams.
And it feels like a dream. She’s perfect for you.
And suddenly, it’s a complete nightmare when she breaks up with you. Sadly, you’re not perfect for her. </3
After two whole years with her. <//3
You decide to go out after she breaks up with you. You’re trying to shake yourself out of the funk that you’re in in the wake of this massive breakup. Walking down a sidewalk by yourself, on the way to get a coffee and zone out, you play back Akka’s reasoning for ending it. It was *insert negative tendency here*
Your outing to a coffee shop was supposed to be an introspective time, a way to distract yourself, and a way to self caffeinate in this bubble is sadness, yet you run into a mutual friend of yours and Akka’s. Of course you start talking and then venting… and then crying.
During your coffee shop breakdown, crying over “Akka’s icy, beautiful demeanor” when she broke your heart, all to a now very awkward probably ex-friend to be- you feel a tap on your shoulder.
You think you recognize the guy and when he asks about Akka, saying he dated someone with that name, you are more then happy to share. It’s not long till you learn he’s Akka’s other ex. Oikawa Tooru
You have a comrade. A fellow person in the gallows.
He lets you vent over a latte and then he gets worked up and starts venting too. As emotional and weird as this all feels, this person understands you.
It’s decided you have to exchange numbers to talk more and ohhhh boy. Oh boy. Dammmnn. I don’t know what else to write
Just kidding yes I do!! New day! For me and you and Oikawa! Quick vent buds to real acquaintances to genuine friend, you hangout beyond venting over Akka. You like to gossip together. Akka did think you should’ve gotten out of that habit… but Oikawa eggs you on and when it leads to you both getting into trouble when the person you’re talking about is right behind you… well, you both grow from that experience together.
Akka would be proud.
It’s not the instant heart stopping passion that ran you over like a semi trunk with Akka, but one day when you wake up to a text from a certain brown haired, volleyball bitch… you realize you might be feeling some sparkles around when you think of him.
It takes a little more time for it to fully sink in and for it to settle into your psyche.
There’s no denying it before long. Not after an afternoon spent together. He tells you something that makes you laugh and it hits you hard, and eventually you tell him.
And when you get married in the future?
Well, your good mutual ex Akka is invited.
She refuses both of your separate invites. Obviously. Still though… she wishes you happiness together.
Waking up from a nightmare, with the teeth of it still biting down on you, you have to pull in jagged breaths before remembering Kita Shinsuke is next to you.
He woke up the moment you jolted up, and looking over his eyes meeting yours, he sits up to be within reach of you. He waits for permission to wrap his arms around you, solid and strong, dragging you back to reality.
He steadies you. And he doesn’t have to say it, he tells you with everything he does. You’re not alone now.
Storm Byron brought strong winds and flooding to Gaza. Storms often cause hardship. But in an area that has been deliberately and systematically destroyed by a genocidal military for two years straight, a storm brings widespread, extended suffering.
When buildings and infrastructure has been repeatedly bombed and damaged with explosives, storm winds can collapse these buildings and trap people in the rubble.
When tens of thousands of families live in tents, the floodwaters destroy belongings, ruin meager supplies of food, and soak through bedding leaving everyone freezing cold, including the elders, the children, and the disabled of all ages.
This is what happened to my friend Ahmed. He is a young teen in Gaza, disabled, and living in a tent with his family.
My name is Ahmad Dany. I am writing to you from the heart of the daily suffering we … Ahmad dany needs your support for Help Ahmed And His F
His campaign is #198 on the @gazavetters spreadsheet. Please help him to afford basic supplies.
Israel has continued their genocide by attacking Gaza relentlessly, even during times of supposed "ceasefire."
The winter storms are only able to so much damage because Israel has destroyed infrastructure, blocked the flow of supplies that could provide heat and repair, targeted sanitation workers, and starved the population.
The effects of this storm are the result of efforts by the settler-colonial project to make life increasingly unlivable.
Please help Gazans like my friend Ahmed to survive this brutal winter.
Kyotani Kentaro was a lot of things. Aggressive was one way to describe him for lack of better words. There were variations of this obviously, but anymore, you think that’s the word that suited him most. Unfortunately, you used to think of him a little differently.
You had thought him sweet, a bark that lacked the bite.
Staring across a room at him now, in holiday attire that you had decked yourself out in, in an attempt to seem merrier and brighter than anyone else in the room, you feel those teeth sinking deep.
——
“Can you watch where you’re going with that!?” Kyotani barks it, not caring about his rude tone. A colleague he’s only talked to twice if he’s generous with that guess, scurries away with a plate of crackers and cheese. A couple are on the floor at his feet and he doesn’t hesitate to step on them.
Despite how he looks and the scowl he lets rest on his face a decent amount, this is not Kyotani’s normal way of treating people. He’s in an unordinary bad mood; it’s from seeing you again, it’s bringing out his worst attitude. That fight and hit before being hit mindset that he’d been free from for years. The one he thought he’d worked his way through in high school. However, he is clearly in a relapse of that behavior, and the fact he’s acknowledging how he’s acting pisses him off more.
He didn’t wanna come to this party. He knew it would be a mistake to see you happy without him. To have other people try to cheer him up too. Which they gave up on doing quickly.
Also, the weather is terrible out. He can see it through a big, white trimmed window.
You would’ve said it was beautiful. The snow falling gently, and street lamps lighting everything with a warm tinge. That’s how you would’ve described it to him, eyes closing before opening with snowflakes dusting your lashes, and suddenly the snow would’ve been worth stomping around in.
He misses seeing things through your eyes. He can see you laughing at what some tall, silver haired young woman is saying to you across this shitty room and all he wants to do is drag you away and demand you talk to him.
He turns away instead and grabs a stupid holiday cocktail off the table he’s planted himself at. Fighting himself, the emotions he doesn’t want anyone to see, he downs the thing.
And when he sees you sit down next to that same woman, hesitantly at first, to which he thinks he’ll do it with a slight spark of hope. He’ll go over to you when you go back to the snacks and drinks where he’s waiting, and you’ll have to have a civil conversation. And he’ll apologize.
He wants to give you his heart again. Please take it. He hates how desperately he wants that.
But you stop hesitating, and sit down next to the woman who looks nothing like him. She seems upbeat and she’s obviously nice to talk to if you’re still doing it. So he picks up another drink. And another.
Things get foggy around him. All of his sharp edges, going softer, he feels like he’s one more drink from going up to you and yelling or maybe the feeling burning through him would make him cry if he went over to you. He’s debating whether he cares when a teammate comes over to him, picking up the final cocktail, pulling it out of reach from his wandering hand, and sipping it.
The blonde jerk grimaces, and promptly dumps the rest out in the sink. Kyotani feels a raw spike of anger in his hazy mind.
“What the hell. Was that.” He spits out.
“Pretty sure you’ve had enough drinks, and if I’m remembering correctly- you said you were driving yourself home.” Tsukishima, one of the teammates he likes, is becoming less likable.
“None of yourrr damnnn business,” he slips into a slight slur, and turns away from the teammate he’s thinking of punching. The part of him that doesn’t want to be that kind of person, that wants to be upbeat and nice enough to be around people, forces him to turn and focus on something other than Tsukishima.
His eyes land on you. Cause of course they do. Still next to that woman with a nice smile. She’s making you laugh again. His blood pressure spikes with your happiness.
God, he’s such a jackass. He doesn’t register the tear that slips out the corner of his eye on his angry face. Only his snarky teammate, who pauses and gets a glass of water for him.
Eventually he gets home. His sight wonky, picking up someone in glasses who helps him into a living room. His living room.
He falls asleep thinking about last Christmas, when he was still with you. To when he hadn’t seen you with that woman tonight—someone new—who could become someone special.
Unfortunately, the Palestinian Ministry of Health has announced the suspension of chemotherapy, intravenous therapy, and medical follow-up services for cancer patients in the Gaza Strip. I am Raafat, 38 years old, from Gaza, a father of three. I die a little every day from the pain, the anguish, and the injustice. I have lost everything in this war: my home, my job, and my health. If you could see how my children and I live in Gaza, you wouldn't believe that a human being could endure all these horrors and still survive! If I were a rock, I would shatter; if I were a sea, I would evaporate; if I were a mountain, I would crumble; if I were iron, I would melt! But whoever perseveres, God will grant them patience.
I suffer from a malignant disease (CANCER)
A synovial sarcoma (also known as malignant synovioma) is a rare form of cancer which occurs primarily in the extremities of the arms or legs, often in proximity to joint capsules and tendon sheaths. It is a type of soft-tissue sarcoma
Report proves the necessity of traveling abroad to receive treatment
I need surgery and medication. I can't get the necessary treatment in Gaza. Every day I go without treatment, the cancer continues to spread in my body, so I desperately need money for treatment and travel. If you help me achieve my goal, you will be saving the life of an entire family, not just Raafat. Don't let this family, which has already lost so much, lose their father.

I saw haikyuu fanart posters at the thrift store today and was sososo tempted to buy one… my favorite had everyone posed for volleyball and then Tanaka just holding up the middle finger, but alas…. I didn’t like it enough to buy it in front of my mom….
