It’s missing a side wall and landscaping but other than that I totally nailed 2019 Gingerbreading. 🙈

I have two boys. They also helped with leaves. I love boys. I....I was trying to make a funny caption for...a photo of my daughter?*

*she does get shit done though

I posted that photo/caption of my daughter on FB and someone responded with a pic of her nephew blowing leaves. 🙄🙄🙄 Yes, no boys ever blow leaves. That’s obviously what I was implying.

This was $40 but finally having a proper way to display 80 year old china is priceless.

They got back at 9:30 last night and immediately had to march in the Veteran’s Day Parade this morning. There was a ceremony and all I remember is jingoism jingoism, genuine feelings for the veterans of past and present wars in the audience and something about how these high schoolers should “look up something called the draft” because they don’t have to worry about that anymore. I’m still not sure if the last part was meant In a good way.

My friend’s son having a medical emergency and having to go to the local ER aside (he’s okay!) this was the best weekend ever.

Splurging for the room with a view did not disappoint

Technically attending 15’s band competition at MetLife Stadium tonight but had time to kill. Went down with a friend, drank before noon and crashed a wedding at St Patrick’s Cathedral.

15’s freshman soccer season ended yesterday. This was my favorite photo from the season. He’s the one with the opposing player on his back. The game itself was a highlight because they ended up winning which ended the other team’s so far undefeated season. It was especially great because the opposing team had beaten them fairly badly earlier in the season.

Prior to high school, he always played at least one half as a goalie but in high school he gave up goalie to be sweeper. Turns out, he’s made for that position. His best friend was the starting goalie and I really think their relationship added an extra level of defense.

It was a great season. 15 was a captain. He played every game and was never subbed out. The team finished with best record of any previous freshman team. They only lost 2*and tied once. *second loss was bullshit but whatever. I’m really going to miss watching them but 15 is ready for the break.

Next up, preparing for his true passion, baseball season.
